Reliable as always. Used this for shading on a decorative project alongside another color and it did exactly what I needed. Flat black is flat black — good coverage, consistent spray, dries true. Rust-Oleum doesn't really surprise you and that's the point. Would buy again without hesitation.

Rust-Oleum 2X Ultra Cover Clear Semi-Gloss provides a solid top coat against weather and wear, helping prevent fading, chipping, and moisture damage, though it's not specifically designed for strong UV resistance. For best results on a bird suncatcher, apply 2–3 light coats instead of one heavy layer, let each coat dry fully as directed, spray both sides if possible, and work outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. If protection is important, choose a clear spray labeled as UV-resistant or UV-protective for better long-term color preservation in constant sunlight. For me, spraying it once a year is much cheaper.

Rust Oleum is my favorite brand of spray paint, it never disappoints. Even though this is not the shade I needed for my patio set(I needed a different shade of dark blue), it was a happy accident. I really like it and will paint everything in this shade. I will advise to make sure of the shade you're ordering there are several shades of dark blue alone.

My very favorite longtime spray paint color! I always use Rust-Oleum and I stay away from gloss because it's like a mirror. Rust-Oleum in just about any satin or matte color is good but the Seaside color (in Satin... it's one of the colors Rust-Oleum makes in Satin and Gloss) is a gorgeous color that doesn't run, dries quickly and smoothly. You could feasibly apply only one coat of this rich dense color and it would look good. Seaside seems to appeal to almost everyone and looks great on most items whether they are wood or metal.

With Walmart plus whenever I need different items, I can just make a list and select from pick up shipping or delivery and the convenience cannot be beat whenever I have a home craft project I can quickly order a couple of cans from Walmart along with some other staple items for my needs and have it the next day delivery. I ordered this flat black paint to do number lettering on my garbage cans and my curb with a stencil and it will be a one and done project later on today.

Have very old terracotta color plastic oblong flower pots that form a barrier to slips and falls off the deck. Have sprayed them with Rustic Orange Rustoleum several times over 20 years and they look beautiful when I am done. Dries thoroughly in about 2 hours. At my age, I no longer plant real flowers in them but use Walmart silk flowers that plug into the dirt with a spike. For winter I remove the flowers and store the planters with dirt still in them on the roof-covered front porch. This Rustoleum adheres well to plastic but I still brush the outside before spraying next year !

I use this to spray on my outdoor statues, lawn/garden decor. It helps against fading and just natural weathering plus it adds a shiny gloss to them as well. Dries quickly and my items are ready to be placed in their spots for the spring/summer season.

I wanted a deep brown to re-paint my black patio furniture. I ordered the Espresso color spray paint but it came out much lighter. Label and lid is a dark shade but I would call the final product Milk Chocolate instead. If you are aiming for a dark brown, don't choose Espresso. Other than that it is ok.

I didn't have arthritis until I used this! The amount of pressure needed to push was exhausting!! While I was using this product it would randomly spray air and then burst color randomly. Super inconsistent! I was painting fencing so I was painting them toward the ground and when I was having issues I picked up the fencing to spray horizontally but to no avail. My hand is sore from painting yesterday and I had to go over it twice where it miss-sprayed. Terrible product.
