I have been using Stevia for decades as a healthier alternative to artificial sweeteners, and started using Truvia brand as soon as I noticed it in the grocery several years back. I like the taste of Truvia and primarily use it in tea. When I discovered a few months ago that Truvia can be purchased in 240-ct. boxes, I switched because it is more economical. These are hard to find in local stores, so I order online.
I bought this sweetener because it is suppose to be healthier for me. Since I can not use any artificial sweetener. This has been a good choice for me!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hate to waste calories on sugar....this tastes as close to the real sugar as you can get and uses Stevia as its key to sweetening. Very healthy, great texture for baking
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a Diabetic - Stevia is best for me; and packets of Truvia are very handy. Can take a few in my handbag to use when I eat out, etc.
Although I've purchased other, store-brand artificial sweeteners in the past, this name-brand sweetener is an even better-tasting sugar-alternative if you don't mind the somewhat lower packets-per-dollar tradeoff. It's a good value, though, so at least sample it on a trial basis as I have; you'll probably agree that this is the better flavor. It's best in hot drinks because cold drinks do not dissolve it completely.
The reduction in the packet size is such a pain, I am probably going to switch back to Splenda. It spills almost every time you open one and is wasteful. How much paper do you save in a 400 package box....maybe as much as 10 packets would be?? Hardly worth the irritation to the customer.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Truvia is made from stevia, a natural sweetener that is a healthier alternative to sugar and artificial sweeteners. The texture looks similar to sugar but it dissolves instantly into whatever you’re making. The taste is different from sugar so it will take some adjustment to get used to it. I just use less so that it is not as noticeable.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found this a little difficult to review. These come in little packets so I used one full packet once for a cup of coffee but didn't like the taste. But came to the conclusion that if I used too little, I couldn't taste it, if I used too much, I didn't like it. Having to add "just enough" into my coffee was just a task lol. So I stopped using it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dear Truvia - I am all for saving paper and conservation but, maybe when you were beta testing the new smaller package size, you should have used a test subject with fingers larger than a 3rd grader. There is usually more on my counter than in my morning coffee.
I understand your company wanted to save money by using less paper but please listen to your customers we hate the smaller package. It’s hard for me to open with arthritis. Guess I have to find a new sweetener that cares more about customers than the almighty dollar
