To me this sauce is better than leading name brands. This sauce has the perfect flavor, has the right amount of chunky veggies in it and is just bursting with flavor that would make you refuse to buy leading name brands ever again! And the best part is that it costs less than $2 a jar! Now that's a steal! I definitely recommend!
This sauce is flavorful. This is great when I am in a hurry or just do not feel like preparing dinner. I just add some great value precooked meatballs open this jar and my spaghetti sauce is ready to coat the great value pasta. Cost saving and time saving meal.
I like the flavor and price of this pasta sauce. I always add some basil, salt and pepper, vegetables, fruit, as well as sugar to tone down the acid from the tomatoes. I used to get a lot of reflux from pasta sauce until I learned the sugar trick. The sugar also adds another layer of flavor to the sauce. When I get done doctoring it up it is a complete healthy meal.
I looked through all the various brands in my Walmart to find the sauce with the least sodium and this one was it. It tastes good, use it for lasagna and pastas but also as pizza sauce and dipping sauce for mozzarella sticks. I keep this sauce stocked up.
I will so Walmart go some great choices on something y'all's brand got more flavor quality and quality than the name brands not saying your not one but
This chunky sauce helps me sneak veggies into pasta night. My kids love noodles but hate eating vegetables so I use this sauce to mask and hide the veggies. It's a flavorful sauce and it's not too acidic. It's also a decent price compared to other brands on the market.
My 4-star rating is because this Great Value pasta sauce had the lower sodium count than the other flavors I considered, including national name-brand pasta sauces). The taste is simple and plain. I add black pepper and a teaspoon of coconut sugar to give it a little kick for spaghetti. People who cook would know what additional spices or other ingredients to add--I don't know. Again, when I want spaghetti, it's my go to sauce because of the lower sodium amount per serving.
If you like tomato soup flavored pasta, this sauce is for you. I've tried the Walmart meat flavored and the Walmart traditional pasta sauces, and they were both very good. This garden sauce is not good at all. it starts out tasting like tomato soup, and no matter how you doctor it, it ends up tasting like tomato soup. I've been around excellent Italian cooking my entire life. You cannot make a good Italian meal with this particular sauce, in my humble opinion.
very thin sauce.. almost totally puree even though it's a "chunky" garden combo sauce.. on the bland side for a robust sauce, had to really add alot of seasoning and extra vegetables . Ragu garden combo is full of chunky garden vegetables not just some petite chunks of diced tomatoes and a tiny bit of minced green pepper.. Ragu has a full complex italian flavor .. this i had to add garlic in 2 forms, onion in 2 forms, basil.. crushed red pepper.. and Italian seasoning blend .. won't buy again.
I don't not like the fact that the product does not have a expiration date nowhere on the product. That makes me think of a health issue because I don't know when it's expired or not
