We moved to North Dakota from Texas and when we got up here a lot of regional brands from Texas are not available up here, so we had to start looking for replacement brands. Coming from Texas we are sort of Salsa snobs, that is one of the main things that we will judge restaurants on in Texas. Well this salsa has become our go to replacement, it is not too thick or chunky, perfect amount of seasoning and heat, it pairs good with all of the Mexican / TexMex dishes we make and I find myself just hitting it up for a snack with tortilla chips often on the weekend.....we usually keep no less than about 5 - 6 jars on hand at any given time because we never know when we are going to be in the mood for it...LOL! If you want that Mexican / TexMex restaurant type cantina salsa in a jar then this is the one for you. Our favorite store bought salsa in Texas was Joe T. Garcias and I put this one up next to it any day of the week.

This is my go to salsa. It has a great texture, taste and I'm able to incorporate into recipes easily. Grab a jar and a bag of cantina chips and watch a movie!

Best store bought salsa available on the market! And believe me, I've tried them all! Spicy and restaurant quality. Also very affordable. Highly recommend!

This salsa is mild and has huge flavor enhanced by the black beans and corn dotted throughout the jar. This salsa is great on any Mexican food and appetizers. We used it on a chile relkeno casserole with rave reviews.

Mild salsa that has added peppers, corn and black beans making it a robust choice when snacking. Great on Mexican dishes or by itself with chips or tosadas. Nice texture and easy to grab jar.

Delicious cantina style salsa. The texture is more blended like a sauce. Full of flavor with a good heat level. More of a restaurant style salsa than a chunkier store bought. Love it!

I have been buying this salsa for years. My family doesn't like chunky salsas and this cantina style is finely chopped and enjoyed by all. It has just the right amount of heat for my family too. We enjoy it with chips and I use it in so many recipes. It's a sad day when this is out of stock and I have to pick something else.

Fantastic...and when it comes to Mexican food im not easy to please. I lived in SoCal where there's good Mexican food everywhere so I've come to be somewhat of an informed critic about it. I buy the medium and it has a kick. Great flavor. Most store brands of salsa are pretty bad. This is amazingly good. I just placed an order for 2 more jars.

I bought this Catina Style Salsa online & liked it, but not as much as the Cantina Salsa Verde. Both are not a very chunky salsa, like some would think. Both are good! I'm not pleased with the way Walmart ships some of their items. Sometimes they take great care & bubble wrap items made of glass, and other they toss a piece of paper in the box, not even around the items ordered. I had ordered one of each: The Catina Style Salsa & the Cantina Salsa Verde. When it arrived, it was an awful smelling, soggy, mess in a box wrapped in bag. I opened the bag & box to find the broken glass of the salsa jars & salsa just about everywhere. There was no wrapping around them, nor was there any cushioning to prevent them from breaking. I can't imagine what the postal people thought! See the pics below. ABSOLUTELY NO CARE WAS TAKEN for the shipment of this order. It hasn't been the first time either. Walmart has packed heavier items on top of lighter things, crushing all that's on the bottom. Like I've said before, I've received very carefully packed boxes of my items. I appreciate that greatly! I would advise that, because of my previous experience, you don't order anything with glass that could potentially explode in the mail! Especially, when it's not properly wrapped & protected for mailing. Save yourself the mess!!!

I am not sure why brands want to make the fancy new anyhting but original flavors. This is one of those attempts that aboslutely failed to hit the mark. Its on my NO buy list and taste kuje the ratng it got. Disgusting, do not waste your money.
