It's my favorite snack and it appears that Walmart Supercenter, Newman is the only Walmart in close vicinity to my home that carry this fantastic snack......(if you like a little wasabi heat !!!) I love shopping at the Newman Supercenter and I always find all my specialty food items/choices there.
I love hot sauce. These are not sauce (of course) but they are HOT! Wasabi is a different kind of hot. These are crunchy and made with real peas. As for taste, wasabi is made with horseradish, it's the main ingredient, so that will help you what this tastes like. Usually when I use hot sauce, my bald head will begin a little sweat, but not with this product. With these it affects my sinus with horseradish vapor. True hot sauce lovers will like this product as well.
I bought the wasabi peas for my son who has always liked wasabi on sushi and peanuts. While I did not personally taste them, according to my son they were a real treat. He even says he had to slow down while eating them so they would last longer. Sounds like a 5-star review to me!
I'm really fond of these wasabi peas, and I'm just about to place another order. There are days when I can go through a whole can! Honestly, they're the best brand of wasabi peas I've ever tried, and I've sampled quite a few. If you're a fan of wasabi peas, you can't go wrong with Hapi Snacks Wasabi Peas, Hot! Personally, I don't find them too spicy, but I've been told my taste buds might be a bit numb, haha. So, they could be spicy for some people. Now, time for me to order more wasabi peas right away! P. S. (photo) In my area, recycling is picked up only every two weeks. With just three days left until my next recycling collection. Here's what I've consumed in the past 9 days . Thanks for taking the time to read my Long review.
These have a good wasabi bite (actually it's horseradish) but that's why they're "wasabi flavored"). However, if I eat too many, my gut is not happy. I still like them.
Oh my goodness! I like things a little spicy and this is a great healthy snack with a little zip! Just the right amount of crunch. Don't take a handful, you'll feel it!
If you enjoy the sometimes frightful burn of "wasabi" horseradish, this product may likely disappoint you. These peas get a mild rating and is good for sensitive palates.
I love wasabi peas but why did you have to go and put toxic food coloring in them?! is that really necessary? I try to avoid things like this and I just don't understand why, this day and age, businesses are still putting that garbage in their products. people don't want it.
Used to buy these, hadn't for a while. When I received them in my order recently and looked at the can, there is a new WARNING on it. It says "consuming this product can expose you to chemicals, including lead............." There are two other chemicals listed also which I can't remember, I already threw the unopened can in the trash. Will not be buying ever again.
WARNING: Consuming this product can expose you to chemicals including lead, acrylamide and cadmium, which are known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.
