I agree with those who say it's BETTER than Knorr. It's definitely much cheesier and It's perfect for a savory meal you can customize w/spices or a protein. Best of all it cooks in my electric hotpot in 5-7 minutes! If using a hotpot cut the liquid you add to just cover the rice mix so it doesn't get soupy.

When I have rice, I always like a little flavor to it. This particular rice I will pick up time and time again. The price is great, the flavoring is spot on, and always worth getting. You can't go wrong with getting a food packages to be in your pantry.

These are really good! We actually prefer these over a popular name brand rice packet. I add in steamed vegetables and a protein, like baked turkey breast chunks or shredded chicken. A good, quick, and inexpensive meal that everyone will eat. I keep these in my pantry at all times.

While looking for something that could be prepared quickly, that can be delicious and economical, I came across a package of Great Value Cheddar Broccoli Rice and sauce. The instructions seemed easy, so I bought one. It is easily prepared ( quickly, too),inexpensive, and quite delicious. I now keep several packs in my cupboard at all times. Give it a try. This is one of those pantry staples I like to keep on hand for busy evenings. With a family of five, having quick and easy side dishes makes getting dinner on the table much less stressful, and this cheddar broccoli rice fits the bill. The rice cooked up tender, and the cheese sauce was creamy with a nice cheddar flavor. The broccoli pieces were a good addition and gave it a little extra texture and color. It paired well with grilled chicken, pork chops, and even baked fish. I also like that it's easy to customize. Sometimes I'll stir in a little extra shredded cheddar, cooked chicken, or steamed broccoli to turn it into a more filling meal. My only minor complaint is that I wish there were a few more broccoli pieces throughout the mix, but the overall flavor and convenience make it a great value. It's an affordable, tasty side dish that I'd happily buy again.

The cheddar rice and broccoli was average. Great taste! It was a little harder than my preferred brand. I do think its an excellent value for price and still very good. Great value always puts out an average to above average product for an affordable price. This is no exception.

I'm a big fan of broccoli and cheese rice ... but like many of us, have been striving to save more $ on groceries, so I've been testing GV brands in comparison to the better known name brands out there. The Great Value broccoli and cheese rice was okay, but not something I'd go out of my way to buy again. The flavor was decent, comforting and cheesy ... but it felt a bit one‑note after a few bites. Texture ended up a little mushy. It's a quick and easy side dish, and it works in a pinch, but it didn't quite stand out. If Walmart made a few tweaks in seasoning and texture, it could be much better. The price for name brand on this one is not much higher, and I'll be sticking with that one. Glad I tried it to confirm though, your results may vary!

I have purchased this Great Value Cheddar Broccoli Rice %26 Sauce online twice now because it looks so good. Both times, when I unpacked my order, I was disappointed that it is not 90-Second microwave Rice like other flavors that are in packages just like this is. The mistake is my own fault for not remembering from the last time and for not looking closer to make sure it was not the stove-top rice. But I think it made a good donation to the food shelf. (I am disabled so it is difficult for me to stand at the stove).

We really like cheddar broccoli cheese rice a roni mix, so wanted to see if the store version could be bought cheaper. 1. the servings size is smaller 2. it cooks the same 3. this product isn't very cheesy tasting, and no broccoli taste at all. 4. it's about 50 cents less than rice a roni, but also doesn't make as much, but not much of a difference. 5. biggest difference is flavor, this rice is low in flavor. Quite bland. no cheese taste, or broccoli. just an orangish yellow color.
