(4 pack) Great Value Poppy Seeds, 2.37 oz

This was the perfect size for our small household. Just the right size for lemon poppyseed muffins. Normally they come in a pound or half pound bag and have to be stored in the freezer. There they are forgotten! These tasted fresh and best of all, they have a lid to keep them fresh. I was very happy to find these little gems.

The Great Value brand poppy seeds are a great and affordable alternative. They worked perfectly for the recipe I was making. They added just the right amount of flavor and a little bit goes a long way. I felt confident serving this product to my family.

I think Walmart's Great Value poppy seeds are as good in texture and flavor as any other so-called organic brand offered anywhere else, Why spend extra money on other brands that don't stand up to their better product claims anyway?

these work just fine for my recipe with my fruit salad. I don't know if poppy seeds have a taste, because I can't taste them, but they look beautiful in my pink fruit salad dip!

Product comes in a great size. Bottle is good size and easy to open and use. Love the dark black color. Adds a great taste and texture to my Lemon poppy seed treats.

This “value option” was exactly as described. Poppy seeds. They were not rancid as I’ve seen in other reviews. I had thought about giving it a 4 star rating just because they are not top quality, however they were poppy seeds, they were tasty and worked great for my needs. All at a great price! If your worried you might get a “rancid” jar, buy 3. Still spend less money than next priced option and if it’s important that you have poppy seeds now, you’ll have two more jars if the first one is bad. You’re welcome! It’s your money, don’t let other reviewers tell you how to shop.

( C ) Average This is a good alternative or substitute for a better quality Poppy Seed if one are available. It was not disappointing or unsatisfactory, it just was too ground for my taste. I looked like a fine black pepper. When I magnify my camera you can tell its seeds. The taste was good and it was easy to use. No real complaints I just prefer my poppy seeds more textured. I used it to make a Chicago style hot dog since it's hard to shop for the bread online. The poppy seeds served their purpose and if my first choice wasn't available I would probably purchase again

Gross. I made poppyseed almond muffins and it made my muffins taste horrible. There was a weird aftertaste and it was bitter. Not happy with this product.

They smelled funny/stale. I wouldn’t exactly call it a rancid smell but they definitely didnt smell fresh i got my money back. I want to make poppyseed chicken again so if another jar is bad, i will give up and make poppy chicken without the poppy seed. 😟😠

Not all of the poppy seeds are rancid it fluctuates. Which is not ok the light not bad seeds are dated October 2022 and the dark smelly rancid ones are dated May 2024. I have done quality inspection most of my life and I wouldn't pass those dark ones ever. Get it together and up your quality because this shouldn't happen especially frequently.
