This PREMIUM canned chicken is exactly that! There are no junk ingredients, only good stuff! This is my choice pick from now on! 99% of the other brands have chemicals and junk in them. This one taste great and is a very good substitution when you don't feel like cooking chicken.
It's just chicken right? This is actually the best canned chicken on the market. Unlike Costco canned chicken, this has no preservative, sugars, fillers or nitrates. Easy pull tab lid and goo quality protein.
Thank goodness I found this. I've been trying to eliminate a lot of the horrible chemicals we eat everyday. I checked every brand of canned chicken at the store and this was the ONLY one without any chemicals whatsoever. It just has chicken, water, and salt. That's it! But it has to say it's the premium version, because Great Value has other canned chicken with chemicals, just like all of the other brands. I'm tickled to death to have found this, because of the clean ingredients and it tastes great! Now that's a “GREAT VALUE”!
The chicken was very tasty. It's perfect for making quesadillas or Buffalo chicken dip!! I'd definitely recommend trying it
I love this canned chicken, "Great Value Premium Chunk Chicken Breast, No Antibiotics Ever, 12.5 Ounce Can". It's only chicken, water and salt. BUT! They NEVER have it in the store I ALWAYS have to order it. Recently I ordered a four pack to be shipped, ALL FOUR CANS were crushed!! I had to put in for a refund! What a waste of time waiting for them to arrive! The people at Walmart who do the picking, DO NOT CARE! I do recommend this canned chicken but ONLY if you can get it in store so you can pick out good cans!
did not receive all items i ordered %26 payed for. 1. 647 bread 2. spaghetti squash, 3. cucumbers, 4. frozen string beans, 5. paper bowls 6. paper plates 7,,pill cutter
I go thru alot of canned chicken making chicken salad, burritos and soups. I've been buying Swanson's for years and been happy with them. As groceries get higher I'm always looking for ways to save a few cents. I tried the GV brand premium chunk chicken and was pleasantly surprised. It tastes the same to me but there are not many chunks, mainly shredded pieces. That works fine for my application so I'm cool with that. Saves me having to do much breaking up of the chunks and the meat is good quality. No gristle or fatty pieces. But they don't always keep it in stock...
I pay extra not to have a bunch of pieces to throw away. Lately it hasn't been the best quality. May as well pay less and pick through the lower priced can chicken.
First, no need to put all that salt in the product, I rinse with spring water to get rid of most of the salt. I put a portion into Amy's light in sodium , Lentil Vegetable. Second, kirklands premium chicken chunk low fat, the can is packed to the brim with chicken chunks. Your great value premium chicken chunk is floating in the overloaded with salt and a lot less chicken in the can than Kirkland's can.
The product is okay, the delivery was a disaster. The box arrived soaking wet on a totally dry day. Not until I opened the box did I find out that several of the 12 cans in the case of 12 were completely smashed open! As much as I might like this product I don't trust the shipping of it to me enough to chance what happened, happening again. And getting a refund was a hassle to say the least. A photo of the damage was demanded before any refund would be processed. I do NOT have a smart phone to take a picture. I had to wait several days for a friend to take the photo and then send it to my email so that I could send it on as demanded. That meant rotting cans of chicken meat sitting in my kitchen until the whole situation could be arranged. I can not afford, medically, to have rotting cans of meat sitting around just so that they can be photographed. Nobody can! The product was okay, the quality average, but that delivery situation makes me not willing to take a chance on it again. How do cans inside a box, wrapped in bubble wrap and other inner wrappings get totally smashed while the outside box is just soaking wet, limp but otherwise whole? Dear god what kind of total incompetence caused that horrible situation?
