It is loud like any other gas generator. LED lights flicker (apparently normal with small cheap low watt generators) 2 tvs connected work fine no flicker. U have to prime it for 25 hours before using more than 300 watts. Make sure add 75 ml with a gallon of gas before using it the gen will literally break.
I wanted a practical gift that would last and be appreciated many times over. (THIS WAS IT) How many times in the next 10 or more years is the power going to fail? When it does this will brighten their day for years to come. The price is a little more than a watch or a piece of clothing to get thrown out or put in a drawer. that is why my choice for a gift is one that keeps on giving for years to come..
i tested the generator on a drill and arch welder it work out and am planning to buy a new arch welder to old is over 5 years old, It's a good generator if you useing electric welding machine a must buy .
I bought this small generator for light use, and it handles the load just fine. However, there are some quirks you should know about. First, it's definitely not quiet, so keep that in mind if you have neighbors close by. The biggest issue is the pull start. Occasionally, it becomes extremely stiff and hard to pull for no apparent reason. Other times, it's smooth and starts on the first try. Because the internal components of the starter housing are plastic, they tend to snap when the cord gets hard to pull. I'm currently on my third housing assembly. On the plus side, the part is easy to replace and readily available. Aceup customer service was helpful—they gave me a credit for the part and provided detailed starting instructions—but the underlying "hard pull" issue still happens. It's a solid little unit, just be very gentle with the starter. It does leak oil and the power seems to fluctuate. I'm a Walmart Associate.
Have to constantly adjust idle screw to provide proper voltage. Gas tank cracked around handle so I'm unable to fill the tank properly. When I connect my plug to it to run a 300 watt fan, the voltage output drops to 80v until I disconnect the fan. I have tried many different loads on unit, and they all have the same outcome.
No where does it say it is a gas /oil mix had to unpack it today cause our power went out. found out it is not a gas-powered generator but an oil/gas two cycle engine. I did not have two cycle gas here, I had gas here because that is what I thought I was purchasing.
First time I ran it there was a noise that sounded like parts were hitting each other inside. The pull rope to start it had several strong resistance points that would lift up the entire generator even with my foot on top of it trying to hold it down. The second time I started it, it sounded like a blender chewing up the generator so I instantly shut it off. These generators clearly aren't tested before they are shipped to the customer but they need to be.
it does not work. i lot so much money off an event because i had to leave because i had no power to keep my items cold. I lost on the order because i can't get my money back, FedEx will not pick it up because of the gas smell. the only way to get my money back is to get it to the return center.. never ending cycle of going back and forward on the phone and emails.
started out fine then fuel tank started to leak. about week later voltage regulator went out causing voltage fluctuation which lead to burning up several appliances.
I had the worst experience at an event, attempting to use this generator for a crockpot. It didn't work, kept cutting off. My event wasn't successful 😟
