Looking at the completed project it looks very good. Assembly went well with instructions easy to follow. Castors OK since I will not be rolling it around. Drawers do not have glides but I knew that when I purchased it. It holds everything I need very well. Don't think it is strong enough for heavy items in the drawers.
Great value - real wood. Only downside is there aren't drawer stops - so drawers easily come all the way out. Have to be careful opening the drawers.
Love this! It definitely took a long time to put together but once completed it's beautiful. Definitely lots of screws and there was a tiny chip, but not noticeable to the naked eye. I definitely recommend using a drill just be careful. I purchased when it was on sale for less than $100, it was definitely worth it
Solid wood, back is thicker material than the usual cheap cardboard. It appears very solid and a bit heavy. It took a few hours to put it together as I took my time and did it carefully. I would rate it as mid-quality, that is, it isn't the usual cheap item but not top grade as the drawers slide on these plastic slides and not a rolling metal slide. Otherwise, it would be fantastic but for the price, it is a VERY good deal, well worth the cost and more.
I am a lash artist and I use the small drawer to organize my lash trays and lash brushes. The deep drawers I use to store my gloves and bibs. Its the perfect organizer for my salon. I will order one for my home to store my make up and makeup brushes. I highly recommend this item.
I love this cart. I use it to keep my tools in it. Tired of wondering where my screwdrivers are at! I was disappointed to see plastic parts included for something that is all wood. The roller guides are plastic - I am not thrilled about that. The only difficulty I had putting it together was putting the parts for the wheels to be added - I had to sand out the holes a little to get it in there so I could pound them in with my rubber mallet. Overall, its great - really nice once its all put together!!
I've had these drawers for a week. I love them! It is perfect for the things I need to store in them!! It looks very nice as well. Having wheels is a plus too!! The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because I was missing 14 screws to finalize the build....so I had to make a quick run to Lowe's to purchase screws to be able to complete the process.
Good things. The kit arrived on schedule. It was well packaged, a cardboard box with internal protective cardboard (crushable), fiberboard stiffeners and plastic sheeting to protect painted surfaces. As promised, primary parts of the cart are solid wood (soft pine). Parts are pre-painted, and pre-drilled. The drawer runners are plastic. The backing board and drawer bottoms are fiberboard (melamine). All wood, plastic, metal parts and fasteners accounted for (with a few spare fasteners) and in good shape. Instructions are very good. Clearly the best part of the kit. Read through before starting and follow the tips closely to avoid mistakes (my experience). The kit assembles easily. It took me about 2 hours. Tools needed are a hammer and a phillips screwdriver. A rubber mallet is also recommended, but I found it unnecessary. No glue or power tool required. Wood screws penetrate the soft pine easily avoiding the need for pilot holes. The plastic runners work better than I had expected. Caster are OK. Finish dimensions as advertised. So-so things. The fiberboard drawer bottom is secured grove on the drawer face and sides. However, the rear of drawer bottoms are secured with two brad nails, limiting the drawers' weight bearing capacity. I realize there's an inherent weight bearing limitation to a fiberboard bottom, but it would be interesting to know what drove the design decision to skimp here. Wood screws need to be tightened by hand to avoid stripping the soft pine, and there are a lot of screws. Despite ample internal bracing, the cart seems a a tad bit flimsy, especially when the drawers are near their weight capacity, brought about as a consequence of the shear force (moment) over the cart's length (height), secured only by the soft pine
3 of the drawers stick - the top one (un-repairable), the middle one with the stabilizer bar (loosened the bar with washers) and the lowest one (loosened the bar) for slightly easier opening and closing. Wish the casters locked as the cabinet moves very easy on the tile floor. Otherwise happy with the real wood rather than pressboard and the finish.
No where is it mentioned that this is a do it yourself put together item un less you really look. It is super heavy and the directions are very complicated. Definitely not for someone hot handy. I can't find anyone that will put it together for me. Deserves no stars!!!!!
