This hoe works best when the growing media is at least a couple inches deep. When the media is hard packed the weeds are chopped off, leaving the roots behind to regrow.

What I have been looking for. Works well and will be using it more in future. I bought the 72inch pole length and am glad due to the width of daylilly beds. It enables me to weed around the plants without stepping possibly on them by accident. I also found the pole can be shortened when needed quite easily. Yes, quite happy, exactly what I needed and wanted. Very useful.

Worked great at stripping sod %26 roots. Cleared a 40'x 10' bank in less than an hour. The handle could be better. I do have a slight bow in it after clearing the bank. Still well worth the money.

Purchased in Dec 2025 as gift. We opened it in March 2026 to use at beginning of gardening season . Handle is broken. Can't use. I'm very disappointed. It's too late for a return.
