I recently color drenched my guest powder room in Sherwin Williams Urbane Bronze; the look is dramatic and moody and I love it EXCEPT....I didn't think about the AC vents and the fan cover which were white. I did a quick search and found that Rust-Oleum Metallic Paint in Venetian Bronze was a match. I spray painted the vents and now they disappear into the ceiling, Great, smooth coverage. Very easy to use!
Like the paint. Hate the dispenser. The spray leaks all over, replaced the spray tops with old style push button spray top. The fancy tops are garbage and proably add unnecessary cost to a already expensive item
This is a very nice color with a satin finish on metal. I am not an experienced spray painter by any means, but it was very easy to use and the finish is beautiful. I had enough for 2 good coats on a metal glass table stand.
I spray painted an entire wrought iron outdoor table and chairs that were Hunter Green and rusted with this color. I powerwashed it first. Came out amazing. Full- coverage. Looks like new. Love this color.
I bought some metal art pieces that weren't as they appeared in ad. I had to spray them as they looked like they were rusty and I didn't want to put them on my walls in that shape. This worked.
I have outdoor furniture that I bought a long time ago in this color, and it's hard to match the color. The furniture is far superior to most you can buy these days so I just sand it down when it needs it and repaint it. It is so difficult to find this precise color that I buy it when I see it and store it away for when I need it. Easy to use, covers well, preserves outdoor furniture. By the way, I have had this furniture for over 20 years, and it's superior to any junk you can find these days. I cover it up in the winter, and it's still good. I live in Michigan; we get a lot of cold and variety of weather here. My furniture is still doing well. This paint helps preserve it.
Absolutely love the topcoat, dead flat except for the nozzle, it sprays a good pattern until it builds up and the the tip drips and ruins what you've done I love the dead flat hate the tip if they put a better tip for spring, I would've gave it five stars plus, but since I got drips three fix the spray tip!!
Rust-Oleum makes great products and I've been using them all my life. My father used their paint growing up. My issue is with this particular spay nozzle. it requires a lot of pressure but beside that I find it far more difficult to control than a conventional nozzle. Which by the way could be removed and soaked in thinner were it to become clogged. furthermore, this goofy noodle does not seen to atomize the product very well. it spits spall droplets, not a mist. As such I never did achieve the desired hammered look. I had no problem achieving the hammer tone using a NORMAL spray can from Rust-Oleum. NO NEED TO REINVENT THE WHEEL FELLAS
The color is beautiful but the sprayer leaks and drips terribly on projects. I have multiple cans and it happens the same way no matter which ones I try! The other colors of this brand are beautiful and may drip a little but usually with no impact on projects. Pretty color, awful spraying mechanism!
After reading and following the label, I was able to successfully paint EVERYTHING but the project. Hand, floor and boot are now hammered antique pewter, so I got that going for me. Paint ran out of the can all over my hand, floor, and would not shut off. FINIALY after a round of hand to hand combat i got it stopped. I do not recommend this product. With warmest regards. M.
