My 8 and 5-year-olds both love this pretend table-top school set. It comes with a lot of great features like a dry-erase board, a cute hand-shaped pointer, a small school bell and plenty of hall passes, report cards, stickers and excellence certificates they can fill out themselves. There are also letter and number worksheets that would be great practice for pre-schoolers. They stay busy for hours setting it up as a school for their dolls or for playing teacher and student. And I love that all the pieces fit into little pockets and the whole thing folds up for easy storage. (You do have to remove the "school supplies" pouch with pencils and crayons in it in order for it to fold up flat. But the velcro attachment makes it easy to pull on and off.) Also makes it easy to carry from one room to another or to bring along on a play date. A friend suggested it would work well as a space-separater at the table when kids are doing homework too! It seems sturdy and well-made, imagine it will last a long time. We have a couple of these Learning Resources play sets and love them.
This is the best kitchen set I have come across in 20 years. My two grandsons (3 yrs. & 6 yrs.) were so excited to find this kitchen set in their room at my house. They started playing with it on Friday evening and played with it the entire weekend and were having so much fun. The colors are primary which makes it nicer for boys and girls to use together. The boys are as happy playing with this set as they are with their cars & trains. This set has items that I have not found in any other sets like a rolling pin, working timer (without a bell), teapot & coffee pot, real measuring spoons and a potato masher. The cookie cutters are fun animal shapes and there are so many pieces that they can both be cooking and doing things at the same time. I am impressed with the material that this set is made out of. While it is made out of a plastic, it does not feel cheap or like it will break quickly. There is some flexibility to the lids which is a pleasant surprise, along with the fact that they actually fit the pots properly. The boys threw the items around and were not easy on them and yet there has not been any breakage so far; this in and of itself is quite impressive. I think this set would even work in a heavily usage setting like a daycare. Exceptional set for a great price.
My almost 3 year old LOVES this toy set! When I'm in the kitchen cooking, she can play cook along with me! I love teaching my daughter the names of every piece (Spoon, Frying Pan, Strainer Etc.). I can hold up my measuring cup and ask her where her measuring cup is and watch her excitedly find it. We also count the pieces and name all of the colors. I like this set because it is very durable and stands up to my toddler's rough play. She likes it because there is a wide variety of cooking utensils and equipment, everything mommy uses and then some! Everything is the perfect size for small hands, not too big or heavy. I love the fact that the Kitchen Play Set is made out of plastic, very easy to clean and disinfect- I just throw all the pieces into the tub and voila! My daughter absolutely LOVES the Kitchen Toy Set and is amused for hours at a time, learning has never been so fun for her! It's great to see her using her imagination creating imaginary food. My 1 year old also enjoys mimicking her big sister making pretend food! This would be a great set if you already have a large pretend kitchenette- Everything you need to complete the entire kitchen minus pretend food! Even without a fancy Kitchenette Toy this set is AWESOME! Great educational toy for children.
I decided to get the Pretend and Play School Set for my 5 year old daughter. She is in Kindergarten and she loves this. It comes with several items, I do not thing I can name it all. It has a dry erase board, a map of the United States, a clock and a blank calendar with the days of the week listed. It lists the ABC’s at the top. At this moment my daughter is out of school for Christmas break, but I can see how this can be very helpful when it comes to doing her homework. It also comes with several stickers, crayons, hall passes, a dry eraser, a hand pointer, pencils, a bell and a grade book. Overall my daughter loves ringing the bell more than anything! It comes with a small pouch on the inside, so that is where she keeps the pencils and crayons. Unfortunately it does not come a dry erase marker. My daughter did play with her friends with the school set and they were really enjoying themselves. I love that it just folds down and closes shut, which makes it an easy to go toy. It brings a real school environment home and it enhances the learning capabilities and improves creativity. I highly recommend this set and I have nothing negative to say about it (only that I wish it came with a dry erase marker). If you have a young child in school, I highly recommend it for kindergarten through third grade.
I love the basic colors in this play kitchen set. Other kitchen sets have multi color combo utensils and such and with this play set it is very easy to say, " hand me the yellow plate or red spoon" and so forth. This helps with learning and identifying colors making it a little easier for small kids. The play kitchen set comes with 73 pieces with all your basic kitchen utensils and measuring spoons with the measurements on them to aid in the learning process which will help out nicely with older kids. A timer in also included which can help older children with numbers and counting. This set literally includes everything except the kitchen sink. My child has a kitchen and stove play area and this addition is wonderful she has kept herself busy mixing and stirring and matching colors nicely with this set. This set definitely completes my child's kitchen and she has been having such a fun time cooking and baking and washing the dishes. If you are looking for and kitchen set with pots and pans and all the extras this is the set plenty of items included and basic colors make it nice and gender neutral as well as a wonderful learning resource to getting to know your colors and measurements along with identifying kitchen utensils and other items. I would definitely recommend this play kitchen set!
This is a GREAT play kitchen set. It includes alot of pieces, 73 pieces in all! Set seems to be well made and will last a long time. I have two 3 year old boys who are pretty rough on toys and is holding up great. Set is primary colors (red, yellow, green, and blue) so is great for boys & girls. It is hard to find a kitchen set that isn't girly. BOY's play kitchen too :) My boys love this set. They pretend to cook each other meals & meals for mommy & daddy. They have alot of fun with this set & play with it daily. Keeps them busy for hours. The set is perfect size for kids & pieces are realistic. Timer actually turns & makes noise just like a real one, tea pot nozzle opens when you tilt it to pour, cutting board & knife, rolling pin, strainer, juicer and salt/pepper shakers. Set includes lids that fit on different items. 2 large lids can fit on 3 of the items and then a small lid that can fit on either of the pitchers. Also includes measuring cups, cookie cutters, and several utensiles, 4 large plates, 4 medium plates, 4 small plates, 4 knifes, 4 spoons, 4 forks, 4 mugs, and 4 ice cream bowls. It also comes with basket that has slots to hold all the plates and utensiles which comes in very handy. I would definitly recommend this to anyone. It encourages pretend play & imagination. Lots of fun for kids & parents.
When I opened the package and pulled out the kitchen play set my children we extremely overjoyed. I have a 4 year old daughter, 2 year old son, and a 7 year old son. They all love to play with the kitchen set. It came with 73 pieces. None of the pieces where too small, so you do not have to worry about smaller children (1-3) putting them in their mouth and chocking. The play set is very colorful (red, blue, green, and yellow). It includes pots, cups, bowls, plates, spoons, forks, dish rack, etc. My 4 year old loves to act like she is cooking for her brothers. It play set can keep my children attention for hours at a time. When they come from school this is one of the first things they run to. They love playing restaurant or house. I believe it will be a very exciting play set for a girl or even a boy between the ages of 2-7 years old.
Received this in the mail 4 days ago and my 6 year old daughter hasn't stopped playing with it. She absolutely loves it. I love all the things that are included. The pointer, hall passes, the dry erase board and the bell. Love everything included. It says for ages 3+ but I think that maybe too young for this. the only thing is missing is a dry erase marker and a plain note pad. But we are loving this and would definitely recommend it.
Very attractive box. The box itself made the twins overly excited and could not wait to open and play. But when they opened it they all fell apart. Chalks broke, the hands on the clock broke so as the crayons. The best things that they enjoyed most were the pointer and bell.
