Amdro Ant Block Home Perimeter Ant Bait and Ant Killer, 12 oz. thus far appears to work well, I first read the directions, then spread the bait around the perimeter of our home as directed. In addition I spread the bait along the perimeter of the planter areas around the swim pool decking. In the front yard in addition to placing the bait on the perimeter of the house I placed the bait along the sides of the entry walk way and driveway. I noticed a few red ants walking around the driveway and on the pool decking. We have thus far not had an ant problem within the house. Three days after placing the bait I walked around looking for ants on the pool decking and on the driveway where I had observed ants at the time I placed the bait. There was not an ant to be seen. I checked these areas for ants the next day and found none. Therefore I am assuming that the bait was the cause of the missing ants. I did notice 10 or 15 dead cockroaches in the planter area around the swim pool decking. I wondered if the bait might have killed the cockroaches. I Googled the Active Ingredient Hydramethylnon and found that it was developed to kill ants and cockroaches, there could be an additional benefit the this product. The California desert is notorious for its supply of ants and cockroaches. Although we have not had a problem with either insect inside the house there is always an ongoing battle to maintain the status quo. The Amdro Home Perimeter Ant Bait and NT Killer is a handy and effective tool in this ongoing war. On the basis of my experience I recommend this product. I received this product at no cost for the purpose of test, evaluation and review.
So, we have ants invade our home every year about late Spring/Early Summer. They come from everywhere, even the ceiling. We were dealing with the same issue this year until we tried this ant killer. I was weary about this, but I knew we had to try something. We were going through several cans of spray. Spraying multiple times a day it seems. It was really that ridiculous. I followed the package directions. However, I didn't put the bait around the entire perimeter of my home. I only put it around the back. And what do you know? We haven't had ants in the house since. I don't know if the ants out back shared with the ants in the front, but it worked. Next year when a new generation of ants tries to move in, I will be putting this stuff out to stop them before they get started.
I was thrilled to receive this product to sample. It really works and it works fast. Per the instructions, I waited until the rain stopped and ground dry before using. I have a 2000 sq ft house ranch style and spread it around the foundation. I say spread but actually It simply shakes out of the container. The 12 oz size I used was plenty to go around the entire house foundation. That was about mid morning when I used it and I did empty the container. I have a wood deck/porch out back and that afternoon, I noticed a gazillion little black specks on the rail. They were dead ants! Gazillions of them! On my front concrete/brick porch, I moved the flower planters and noticed NO ants....there was gazillions of them under the pots. I thought about taking a picture but I didn't want to gross anyone out because they sure gross me out! NO MORE ANTS! I don't see ant hills at my house. I think they are more under my house and under my covered back porch. Wherever it is they hide out, they are gone now. I had heard good reviews about this product and it sure worked for me. The type of ants I am referring to are those tiny little ants that can get in through seemingly no where. I was seeing an ant on my office desk and wondering how in the world do they get in? They're so tiny they can certainly find their way in. I think they were after my chewing gum on my desk. lol. I think you will be very satisfied with this product.
We got the ant stuff we used it and it seemed to work real good I haven't seen any Aunt since I put the stuff down it's a real good ant product are you coming over so cool you can't see no answer I said yet cuz I used to stuff like where did you get it I told him where I got it and they said they're going to check into it cuz I have an ant problem
Amdro Ant Block home perimeter ant killer is a bait that has worked very well to kill the ants outside so they cannot get into the home. It is very effective. The label says they kill 25 species of ants. I don't know how many species I have here is Central Florida, but Amdro works very well killing them outside so I do not have an ant problem inside my home. I walk around the perimeter of my home and spread the Amdro ant block about 1 foot wide. I also use it down the sides of the driveway and walkway. Amdro works because the ants think it is food and they take it back to the Queen and the colony ants. Once they eat it the Queen and the ants die. One treatment works for 3 months.
We have a huge ant problem on our property. There has been a lot of rain in the past several weeks and the ants have came out like crazy. You can barely walk through the back yard without stepping on a mound. My husband spread this killer on numerous mounds and within the day they were already dying off. So far it has lasted a while and I hope it continues to. We will definitely be buying more soon.
This product is tiny yellowish pellets. I poured these around sunset around the backyard perimeter. The bottle makes it easy to get an even spread. I can't see as many little movers on my patio anymore. A s it's also very telling that the spiders have also left. So, this is a win. I poured this while ground was dry a d there wasn't a rain until 3 days later. So I'm confident that the pellets laid down and we're distributed well.
The following diverting review is on the Amdro Ant Block Home Perimeter Ant Killer and Bait; 12 ounces. Never fails every summer we battle with ant mounds/hills. With two little ones and self who suffer painful allergic reactions (large whelps) eradicating these pests is a top priority. So when the opportunity to test the Amdro Ant Block Perimeter presented itself, I was more than willing to give it a go. What I Found: • Don't apply when rain is expected, or the ground is wet • The bait uses corn grit to attract the ants • The bait kills several types of ants such as (Fire, Harvester, Pharaoh, Carpenter, etc.) • Is not pet safe Application - we just lightly dusted the bait around the outside making sure to cover the entire boundary. The granules act as the first line of defense between the ants and my home by diverting their mission to gather food from inside my house. Ants think it is food, carry it back to the colony and the deed is done. It's been about a week, and I'm happy to report that I have not seen any ants or mounds. WONDERING??? Can this treatment be applied to other areas such as my attic? If so, this would without a doubt be beneficial in protecting my home and family. From what I have experienced, the Amdro Ant Block has been an effective method in treating and prevent ant infestations and I would recommend it. Note: I could only give 4 stars because I haven't had enough time to fully evaluate the effectiveness and can only assume it will last the entire period (3 months).
I received my Andro Ant Block Home Perimeter Ant Killer through the Walmart Spark Reviewer Program. I was amazed at the package sizing. I thought it would have been a liquid but it is small granules that tu e.g.ned out to being better. I had several ant hills around the perimeter of the home. We sprinkled and now the ants have moved else where or died. I like that there is no odor upon usage. I would recommend this product.
this item used to come in a much larger container. The containers that I received were tiny and only half full!!! 😡😡😡
