I had $14.25 sitting on my manufacture rebate. Decided to get 2 (3) gallon water jugs for my ceramic Primo water dispenser. 3 gallons is easier for me to handle than 5 gallons. Thank you for the delivery since I don't drive.
Very pleased i was very pleased with the color. I was very pleased with the lightness of it because the 5 gallon is just too heavy for us to handle. So the 3 gallon is much much better for us and we were very pleased that it was delivered so promptly.
Well, long story, but I can help you learn something new. So, a year ago I bought this wonderful water cooler/heater/dispenser. A nice, black one. It was doing great until sometime after June 27th when my boyfriend was in the hospital dying. Suddenly, it began to leak under the tiles of the floor. I drained it, pitched it out in the yard, and dragged it to the trash bin and threw it in. Then I bought another one immediately, thinking my boyfriend might come back home to me and he would need the cold water. It was a frigidaire. Same thing happened. Within 12 hours, there was water all over the floor. I drained it, too, put it back in the box, then took it to walmart for a refund. i WAS ALREADY MAD BECAUSE THE DELIVERY PERSON LEFT IT OUTSIDE MY GATE WHERE ANYONE COULD STEAL IT. Well, I went home and ordered a third one. This time I got a Great Value one. Mercifully, it began leking almost immediately, so I drained it and thought, "I should go to youtube and see how to fix it." Turns out, it was the water bottle. All repair people said 99% of the time, the bottle gets an imperceptible crack in the bottom of it then it forces the water to overflow onto the floor. So, I ordered this water bottle and yeah. Problem resolved. Too bad my boyfriend passed away on July 19th. He is supposed to be drinking this cold water with me, I thought, but I guess the Good Lord had other plans for him and needed him back home more than I needed him here.
I searched high and low for a round 3 gallon jug to make a marker buoy. I could find none. This bottle is heavy duty, the strongest I have seen, has a solidly mounted handle and at the price with free ship to store no way to beat the deal. Used it as a marker buoy (after painting it orange with Krylon Plastic Paint) on my fishing trip last weekend. It worked great.
Everything was perfect about it! It wasn't broken and the cap was not missing like all the other reviews say. Mine was perfect!
This water jug is great quality for the price. The part I don't like as much is the screw-on lid, but I would still buy it again.
I had been using the 5 gallon water bottle but it become a little heavy for me to handle (I'm 70 years old). I switched to the 3 gallon one and it is perfect.
Bought two of these about 6 months ago, and so far they are holding up well. Only slight weird plastic smell initially, but after a few rinsing, everything was fine. These 3 gallons are just right for my portable, counter-top water dispenser, as the 5 gallons would be too heavy for me to lift. I recommend these.
I purchased 3 gal size bottles b/c they are easier to fill and lift. 3 3-galllon jugs gives me enough water as 2 5-gallon jugs w/o the weight. I do not like the screw on lids. I don't think they are sturdy and will probably have to be replaced, as they may break.
Not the item pictured. The old style with the long neck was in the picture but the newer style with the short neck was delivered. We made this purchase specifically to get the long necked version pictured. The longer neck version makes it much easier to grip, tip, and pour.
