My daughter is turning 7 and has been asking for a microscope for months. I bought her a scope but it didn't come with any prepared slides. I frantically ordered these thinking they will do until I can find some good ones. Let me tell you, THESE are the good ones. So many slides and so well prepared. The descriptions are easy to read, they are organized and color coded. Excellent product!

These are NOT microscope slides. I work in a lab, and was looking for slides to show my daughter the type of stuff I do at work. However, once I received these , I noticed serious discrepancies between what it claims and what is it. These slides are bits of dried plants, animals, insects and flowers glued to a plastic slide. They are not thinly sliced specimens, as is the standard for microscope use. They are not translucent - putting a light behind them only makes it harder to see them. They are not stained, which also make it difficult to see individual structures. None of these slides are viewable under a microscope. They are probably intended to be seen with a magnifying glass and a bright flashlight, as there's no way they could work in a microscope.
