i wanted containers not too big not to small for my husbands lunch. this ones are on the smaller side but i still works. looking forward to replacing all the plastic containers with glass ones. safer to microwave, and easier to wash.
Good product and value! Would use it for liquids, but good seal for solid food, very thick glass and made in USA. It’s stackable and I no issues with dishwasher or microwave use.
Wonderful containers. So glad to have storage/lunch containers made from glass instead of plastic. Glass is much more preferred when wanting to heat something in the microwave. I regularly send food that needs to be heated for my husband’s lunch. Now I can feel better knowing plastic isn’t leaching in to his food. Lids hold tight snd secure. Perfect size for storing leftovers too. Kudos to Anchor Hocking for a great product.
I really prefer using these for storing alll my leftovers. I love that they are microwave, freezer ,oven and dishwasher safe . They look nice and fit well in my husbands lunchbox. The lids have a tight fit so no worries about spilling out. Once I used these there is no going back to plastic.
I love these glass tupperware storage dishes they are fantastic. What I love most about them is. I can have something that has a tomato sauce base and put this in there. Reheated in the microwave or even the oven and it will not stain. You cannot put the lid in the oven but you can of course put the glass in the oven. It is really great I would definitely recommend these to anyone. For their size you will be fooled it does hold a nice portion. Highly recommend this product.
These dishes are very good quality, they are made of glass and they can be used in the oven, microwave, freezer and refrigerator. They are dishwasher safe also. You can use them for so many things snacks, leftovers you can even use them for organizing. However you cannot use them on top of the stove they will break. The lids fit nice and tight. They hold 3 cups each. I love them. I am 57 years old. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.
They are nice sized containers for holding smaller amounts of food. Great for leftovers and you can heat them and eat right out of the dish. They hold 3 cups as stated on the lable. I filled them with 3 cups of water and it was right to the top. The lid measurement is 7.75 x 5.75. Food can be stored in them in the refrigerator or freezer.
This Anchor Hocking 4 Piece Glass Rectangle Food Storage set features two heavy glass containers and two matching dark blue plastic snap-on lids. Each container, with lid, measures a hefty 1 lb 6 oz and measures 7.75" x 5.75" x 1.75". The lids snap-on tightly and form an excellent seal. The 3-cup (750 ml) capacity and low profile is ideal for small quantities of left-overs as well as for items such as deli meats & cheeses. Anchor Hocking glass is made in the USA; the plastic lids are made in China. The one downside to these otherwise excellent storage containers is that the lids do not have a "grab tab" on any corner in which to pull the lid off the container. Rather, you must use your fingertips to pry up the lid. This can prove quite a challenge for those who have dexterity issues with their fingers. The addition of a small grab-tab in one corner would be a very welcomed addition to these otherwise outstanding storage containers.
Overall, I really like this glassware, but had a few quibbles with the lids and the container size. The glass material is great for storing leftovers since you can just pop it in the microwave later on without worrying about plastic leeching into the food. The con side is that most glass storage containers have issues with the lids not being leakproof. Not sure why, but all my glass storage isn't leakproof for things that are especially liquid (soups, peas, fruit in juice, etc). That being said, that is only if you heavily tilt them which stresses the lid's seal. If you are store them upright and carefully remove from the fridge without tilting, these are perfectly fine. After many dishwasher runs, the lids do get progressively weaker and the seal loses a lot of it's original strength. I wouldn't put the lids in the dishwasher as it drastically reduces the life of the product. The other minor issue is the size of the containers -- they are just a tad too small for usefulness. Nine times out of ten I find that whatever I was planning on storing in them is just a bit too much volume and I need a different container. Annoying. I now only use them for tiny bits of leftovers or for storing cough drops in the office (keeps bugs and pets from getting at them). I would still recommend these if you routinely have smaller portions of leftovers or for snack items needing protection from the environment. I feel like these would be more useful if increased in size by 25-50%.
I have a set of two I bought atTHE STORE. I BOUGHT A 2ND SET ONLINE. THEY ARE CHEAPLY MADE AS THE LIDS ARE LOSE AND THE LIDS DON'T HAVE THE SAME TEXTURE OR FEEL. In the picture, my 1st buy is the one on the top and the 2nd buy is the cheap one with the sticker. There is barely any seal on the new one's.
