Instructions were fairly easy to accomplish. Currently I am receiving a great viewable signal from more than 15 sub-channels. I do not know exactly how, but I am receiving 6 different sub-channels from a tower that is more than 100 miles away! Due to azimuths, I am not able to receive a good signal from a tower or two that is much closer (like, only 40 miles away) but I am planning to add an antenna rotator system which should enable me to receive more viewable channels. Excellent antenna. TV towers 50 to 66 miles away in the foothills of the Smokies. Getting over 39 channels. With previous antenna was getting about 20 channels in good weather and as low as 5 depending on the weather. Easy assembly and installation.
Works great. I Installed it in the attic of my two-story house located 10 from downtown Nashville and receive 100 channels.
I put it up receive 64 channels clear picture couldn't be happier saving money
Very easy to assemble and install. We ditched the Dish and Big Bills, mounted this in the same area on the peak of my roof. Very happy with the outcome,17 FREE channels Clear as can be. Tried one of those flat indoor antennas and didn't get even half that. We are 60 plus miles from stations and 80 to one of them. It runs to a splitter then to our 2 TV,s with no amplifier. Size makes it almost unnoticed on roof in comparison to some of those old school antennas that are big and gaudy. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
After having tried several antennas (indoor and outdoor) the Clearstream 4V provides the best reception experienced to date. Using the antenna strength meter (also purchased from Antennas Direct and highly recommended) our reception went from 1 bar to 4 bars...with no amplifier...after installing this antenna. After 2 months of cord-cutting we are very satisfied with the results...and even happier to no longer be paying an expensive monthly bill for cable service ;-). Antenna was a little more work to assemble than the cheap Big Box kind but still only took about 20 minutes. I was worried about the reception since it needed to be installed in an attic with clay tile roof and pick up stations 50 miles away. However once it was positioned properly it picked up channels much further away than I expected.
I'm 28 mi east of NYC so that's where I'm pointing the antenna. I'm picking up those stations well but some towers in New Jersey that are further away (30-55 mi) on a close heading (~10°) are not received. However, those stations are pretty low power at 36-52 dbuV/m. Not surprisingly, a number of off axis towers (to the north) and 40-55 mi distant are not received. In total, I have 73 watchable channels out of about 90 available. I receive a station (83 dbuV/m) from 32 mi to the east or rear of the antenna. The size of the antenna is manageable. It was reasonably easy to assemble from the provided instructions. I put it on a 10 ft mast mounted to the highest peak of my 2 story house
Very easy to assemble and install on the roof. We are 50+ miles north of the TV transmitters in Indianapolis. Simply pointed the antenna and received all channels with good signal strength. Used a 12 db amplifier for distribution to 4 TVs. Excellent clear pictures on HD channels. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
The broadcast towers are 52-54 miles away from my house in North Texas, and this antenna, mounted in my attic, is able to capture a good signal from most of them. No matter which direction I point the antenna, I lose some stations and gain others, so I had to prioritize. The antenna itself is well built, but the advertised 70 miles seems like a stretch. Assembly was easy with the video.
