I use arrowroot in place of corn starch. In my experience it has no taste and thickens up almost exactly like corn starch. This particular bag gave me a nice supply without having to buy so many piddly little spice store packages. Just like other thickeners, you avoid lumps by making sure the liquid you dissolve the arrowroot in is just at boiling point.

I like Anthony's products the quality is great. It's cheaper at Walmart than other stores. Anyways love shopping at Walmart because you always get value for your money.
