I was worried about the expiration date on these, ordering through the mail. But these were good for 2 years (which is the norm from my experience), this company was quick, quick with delivery. Awesome! No complaints.
Able to monitor phosphates to prevent pool black algae
Fast service, top quality.
I normally use this brand, but the recent purchase through Walmart has me questioning. The chlorine and free chlorine seem to be marking much higher than it should with the first few strips I've used and almost always read the same, so I'm never sure which is accurate. I decided to test my tap water and all markers were in the okay zone, free Chlorine was zero, but complete chlorine was 1. So I'm not sure if complete chlorine is the actual free chlorine reading as my pool is well balanced otherwise and is algae free even with all the rain we've had.
We've owned for pools for 30 years. For a long time we used a regular test kit, where you fill vials with water. Clearly that is your best option if you've got pool issues and are really trying to dial in your pool chemistry. But we've been using these the last few years. The ease of use is far superior to the test kit, and we get the information we need to adjust the water chemistry appropriately.
Arrived on time as described and was the best value found after fairly rigorous research. It is easy to use and matched the results of the liquid test kit I also have. Color matching was better than with previous test strip brands. Perhaps it is because this strips/kit had a wider range of color sampling points the mfg has to use to accommodate use with, both, bromine and chlorine systems. In any event, it seems to have positive benefit, at least for my purpose.
We have used these for three years now and they are accurate, easy to use, and very reasonably priced.
These are rhetorical best test strips as you can check more than just chlorine .
I like to test manually. No need to trust an untrustworthy app. This is the one. Great value. Longer strip, and chemical pads seem identical to the competition. For rookies: You will soon get used to "normal" colors on the strips. You can see if something is 'different" and from that, calculate what you need and how much of generic chemicals. It's manual, accurate and easy. I learned to avoid the apps that "read" the results.
I find that these test strips work extremely well testing for hardness, total chlorine, free chlorine, pH, alkalinity & cyanuric acid(stabilize). Dip the strip wait 15 seconds read the results.
