Asus SDRW-08U7M-U DVD-Writer - External - Black

Was exactly what we were looking for and worked perfectly for our family home videos. Great price compared to others I looked at too.

After two short lived no-name drives from Amazon, I went with this Azus who have always made great equipment. A bit more costly, but 100 times more reliable.

I spent $1000 on an awesome laptop. I was unable to install a video game until I bought this gadget When I received it, I was impressed by the fact that it was an Asus brand and had high hopes… I was not let down! If you're thinking about purchasing this item and are on the fence, I would highly recommend that you pull the trigger and buy it today. Stuff like this is hard to put a value on until you need it. For this price you can't go wrong, tomorrow it might be a lot more

PC recognized the device instantly. Quiet operation. This is the third drive I purchased to replace a defective drive. The first two had several problems such as not recognizing discs when inserted and formatting problems.

No problems, works great upon initial use.

Bought this external CD/DVD to be able to install physical medium software and deal with music and pictures in that format when building a new gaming level PC and internal drives are not available. Added bonus to be able to use with my laptop. Very reasonable price, easy to install and has operated flawlessly for the past year

Works perfectly. Excellent!

Nice compact lightweight external DVD Drive. Perfect for your laptop Computer.

The only reason I didn't give this external ZenDrive a 5 star rating is because of the short second USB power connector cable. Why doesn't Asus just include an extension cable for best customer experience?

Needs a laptop with 2 USB ports. That was not mentioned in description. My laptop only has one and the instructions that came with it said it shouldn't be used with a port extender which would accommodate the dual USB cord.
