Works excellent most times, but sometimes we have a hard time with the hearing and communication. Doesn't necessarily have something to do with the phone itself though.
I have bought these phones before. I Love the buttons because the numbers Do Not rub off. The only thing is, of course, you have to transfer all your numbers to your new phones manually. I wish there was a quicker way to do that, but no worries, I still love the phones.
I purchased this for my 80 yr old neighbor. She loves it, the buttons are bigger, the sound is clearer and the hand sets are lighter. All important features as her RA has greatly affected her hands. I set it up for her, but it was very easy. Put in the batteries (already charged) and plug the base unit to the electric and phone jack (or computer), plug in the remaining handsets and you are ready to go. Setting up the date/time was fairly easy once I found it on the menu listing. Highly recommend. You can keep it simple as I did for her, or tap into some of the more advanced features.
I BOUGHT BEFORE A "VTECH'3-Handset Cordless Answering System with Caller ID/Call Waiting, AND HAD PROBLEM HEARING. SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS RAINING. I CALLED THE CABLE COMPANY TO COME FIX IT AND WHEN THEY CAME THEY FOUND OUT THE PROBLEM WAS THE PHONE. I BOUGHT THIS PHONE (WHICH THE CABLE COMPANY GUY RECOMMENDED) AND IT WORKED GREAT. SINCE THEN I HAVE NO PROBLEM. I'M HAPPY LIKE A FROG WHO ESCAPED FROM A LIZARD.
I brought this phone because I wanted to have 3 phones in my home instead of the two I had. I brought these and I really love them. I set them up with no problem. The directions was easy. It have everything I wanted in a phone caller ID, and answering machine. It rings loud enough if you where out in the garage you could hear it. I am really glad I brought this phone and I would recommend it to anyone.
Easy to follow set up instructions. Downloaded full manual from web to get more details for operating instructions. Using with Straight Talk Home Nationwide service. Nice big buttons and screen. Lights indicating charged on handsets make them easy to find in dark. Works fine, just need to take more time to read and understand all the features. Answering machine easy to operate.
The system is performing well to date. The intercom system is a real plus. However, it was purchased specifically to replace a kitchen wall phone and the bracket provided was so big, it protruded beyond the base and made the whole system look bulky and somewhat unsightly hanging on the wall. I would not recommend it for this use.
Even though I've only had these phones for a few days, they seem to be working out so far. the price is excellent for the brand name. The set up was easy to do with very little frustration. For me that's a plus. I really like the different choices you have for ringer tones and the fact that you only have to use one jack. I'm impressed and I would recommend this phone to family and friends.
I would have given them 5 stars, but, I've only owned these phones for 2 weeks, but so far they work perfectly. The large lighted buttons are a big help. The intercom feature is useful since hubby is deaf! Also, you can access the answering machine from any handset, or use the phone numbers entered in the directory.
The phones were great other than they kept slipping out of our hands & there was some line interference. Only one person can talk on the phone at a time or it sounds like an intercom buzzer is going off in your ear. Programming is easy. Readout is very good. Price was great.
