Audubon Heavy Duty Clear Hanging Squirrel Baffle with Hanging Clip, Clear

I have it hung on the corner of my house where there is no gutter. It works perfectly, preventing rain from running into the birdfeeder. It should have lasted longer but the squirrels knocked it down and due to the very cold weather and age - it cracked the baffle, preventing protection from the rain. It is super easy to put together and made of quality materials.

These are perfect for shielding my feeders from rain. I have these in only two feeders and the Cirque du Solei squirrels have breeched the baffle on only one of them.

My hanging bird feeder seed was being devoured by squirrels. I even filled it with Hot and Spicy seed which they were not suppose to like. After placing this shield above the feeder I sat and watched. The squirrels tried several attempts and failed. Finally they gave up and my problem was solved.

I use this as a rain shield for my bird feeders. Most rain shield/squirrel baffles are too small to effectively keep seed from getting wet but this works much better. I like that I can mount it to a pole or use it with hooks above a feeder. There are several brands of similar looking baffles of this size and they all work equally well. This one had the best price. It appears that it would also deflect squirrel attacks from above but I don't have that problem.

We put this over a jelly feeder to deter rats. It took about a week before the birds came back and they keep looking up at it. I don't think they're comfortable yet. It's been up for about 2 weeks. The dome keeps the rats from climbing down onto the tree-mounted feeder, but it seems to spook the birds at the same time.

The first few days we were really pleased with how the squirrels were defeated by the baffles. However, after a few days, they met the challenge and found a way to feed off the bird feeder at times - while others they just splashed food to the ground. We even moved the feeders further away from limbs the squirrels had learned to use - but - with a never dying attitude, flying leaps and crashes into the feeders, they wound up with plenty of feed on the ground. Squirrels never give up so I will be coming back to Walmart to purchase one of the feeders that close off if a squirrel tries to get on it.

I like this it would protect the birdfeeder from rain I love how it just hooked that I didn't have to assemble it around the pole etc. but it never stopped the squirrels they're now getting up and jumping across to the bottom of the birdfeeder which is supposed to be squirrel proof and emptying the feeder. The birds will suffer because I'm tired of putting out expensive food to feed the squirrels who make a mess under it by spreading the seeds I really liked how this assembled and it wasn't complicated. Just didn't help it all but it'll do fine for rain

I've seen this item at other vendors and the prices were higher. It did not come with instructions and it's not clear to me how the top pieces were supposed to be installed. Overall satisfaction would have been 5 stars, but I couldn't find instructions anywhere, even searching online. There are three set screws in the small plastic piece with the s-**** and I haven't a clue why they're there.

The quality is good solid plastic, clear, looked great... ...but the squirrels lay on top of it and eat the food underneath without any problem so it does not do what it's supposed to do.
