This item was as expected. It seems sturdy and is simple to set up. It is very convenient for things like external cameras, giving the ease of flipping a switch to power off and on instead of plugging and unplugging with each use.
The item was exactly as described. I liked the light on the on off switch, and found it very helpful.
it's nice to expand my laptop ports. it allowed me to add two fans and extra ports for my hard drives and wireless keyboard and mouse.
Solve the problem with my PC not having enough USB pots. I connected several devices to the adapter, and they work just fine.
Cheaply made. USB ports are not well made, so connections can be problematic. Main data cable from device to computer USB port is short and does insert fully into the device. Again another problem area for data connection and slow speed. If you can't afford more, then OK but certainly not good for multiple device connections or heavy duty use.
All the ports work, and the switches are conveient, but it is somewhat cheaply made and has some sticky ports, so I would say that if you have to remove components from the hub very often, it will probably not last. If you just plug in and keep them there, you will probably be okay. The incoming cord attachment is not too firm. Also, I mounted it on the wall with a strip of velcro, and when I remove it, it temporarily deforms (bulges out) the thin strip of plastic down the back/bottom. Again, as long as it' s something I don't do very often, I'll probably be okay. If you plan to give your hub a lot of heavy physical use for many years, get a better one.
This item claims 5G transfer speeds. I know all these hubs lie about the speed they get but this is really bad. I can only get 40 MBs from this hub. I tested it with a SSD that gets 500 MBs when connect to the computer. I used the same computer port for all tests. The same SSD connected to another usb hub connected to the same computer port got 350 MBs. So this hub is really slow. I would not use it for anything other than a wireless mouse or keyboard.
It will take some devices, like a WD Elements drive, but then ignores a Sabrent drive that can plug directly into my pc's USB port. Even with the WD drives, W11 says it is NOT running at USB 3 speed.
no instruction included and no power block included. it appears to have another power port but I really don't know
Connecting USB cable way too short! Don't buy unless you plan on buying an USB male/female extension.
