Great Rack

Daniel March 8, 2025

I'm really impressed with this power cage/squat rack. I had a pull up/dip station and wanted a little more versatility and after doing some research decided to buy the BalanceFrom PC-1. It fits my needs and more. Its plenty rigid enough for my lifting needs and it will allow me to do some exercises using some resistance bands too. I'm not trying to break any lifting records I'm just trying to get a little healthier and do some regular weightlifting. I noticed during my research that there were some complaints about the packaging and some damaged parts. From what I read I noticed that a lot of the issues regarding the bent parts where the uprights that had sort of a 'U' shaped bracket that could be damaged during shipping. Well. it seems they fixed that problem by getting rid of the 'U' brackets and instead using some 'T' brackets that help bolt the uprights to the cross pieces. So now you just get square tubing uprights with no welded 'U' brackets. As far as packaging goes, I was really impressed; my rack came in a cardboard box that was lined all sides including the top and bottom with thin plywood which made everything really sturdy and well protected. The only complaint I have is that they do not include any washers which from what I have read online will really make the whole rack a lot more rigid. I bought my own washers for few dollars sot that wasn't a big deal. You could definitely put the rack together without any washers and still be fine, but I like the idea of adding a little extra rigidity for a few dollars. I can also speak to their customer service. My rack didn't come with any assembly instructions, so I reached out to BalanceFrom's customer service and within 24 hours they sent me a pdf of the assembly instructions. I've had the rack for a few days and I am really happy I made the purchase I feel like I have so many new opportunities to try different exercises that I was not able to before. I intend to purchase the lat pull down accessory in a few months once its back in stock.

Better than expected

ann October 24, 2025

…comparable to bars that cost five times as much. Big-man's bar, too. Handles are pretty wide. I'm 6 feet tall, with long arms, and it's a little wide for me. Of course - you can always scoot your hands in, but I'm just talking about the handles on the ends. Worth much more than it costs, for sure. 👍🏻

Sturdy Cage

George February 22, 2026

The cage comes with J-hook, multi-grip, and spotter bar. It was easy to assemble by myself. There was no issue with whole alignment. Just make sure to only fully tighten the bolts once everything is loosely assembled. It is sturdy. There is a little bit of movement side to side when doing dips but it is normal and not a big deal. The only issue I had was that one side of the bar where the bolt is inserted was bent and made it a little difficult assemble. This is due to shipment handling. Other than that, I am very satisfied with the cage.

Good value but don't expect too much.

Robert February 9, 2026

The product is a great value for the price but the order shipped without the safety rods to support weight drops and rack pulls. The pull up bar is an awkward width where the bend starts at the precise point where an average person would place their hands for a pullup, so that you are forced to place your hands wider or narrower than you would for a standard pullup. The structure is secure but needs counterbalance for anything on the front with a heavy load. The spotter arms are angled improperly so that the weighted bar constantly rolls forward. The dip attachments that came with the rack are sturdy up to 250 pounds but the plastic end caps that cover the welded portion have already started to come off after 2 weeks of use. Same issue for the J-cups. The price is fair for what you receive and this will last a while, but there are clear quality issues that are not expensive for the manufacturer to fix and they clearly choose not to.

WalmartCustomer January 8, 2026

I'm frustrated because the two safety bars that are pictured in the main picture of the power cage weren't in the package I received. This power cage is for my kids, therefore, the cage isn't useful without the safety bars. I contacted Walmart via chat, and the only solution was to return for a refund reorder. That is insane. I spent a lot of time putting it together. To return it, I would have to take it apart, package it, take it to Walmart, reorder, and hope all parts are included next time. The simple solution that is customer friendly is to simply send me the safety bars... or give me a credit so I can go buy some aftermarket ones.

The equipment is very dirty and not as smooth as I had hoped. The packaging was extremely unacceptable as far as the box and each piece was open.. I am not satisfied. This will probably be my last time shopping with Walmart online and in store. Im tired of products not being produced with pride when it comes to quality. Also, I specifically told them to deliver to my door and they didnt.

The description says these are for a 2.5" rack. Delivery came and they only fit a 2x2. Returned and explained, but the second delivery came, again only fitting a 2x2 rack. Either description is incorrect or they screwed up twice. Not trying again, will order alternate item elsewhere.

I haven't gotten my items yet so I can't rate them, but I've had a lot of problems with my order. First I got the wrong size. I shipped them back and they only credited me with receiving one, but I bought three. Finally, I got a customer service manager named Suva. She helped me a lot, she got me a refund, and now I'm trying to reorder the product again. Hopefully, it will be the correct product this time.

Weight Plate Holders don't fit the power cage/rack

Jed March 31, 2026

I ordered the Weight Plate Holders listed as an accessory for the PC-1 Series Power Cage and Power Rack (which I own and use) but they don't fit on it. Now I have to go through the trouble of returning them (and try to find another set of pegs that will actually fit on the cage and hold weights?)

thing is built like it's made out of wet towels. wobbles a lot Gage of steel 'm guessing is 16 the pull-up bar is bent and awkward angle and doesn't match one side to the other the uprights came bent on the ends. I ordered additional rack supports to hold the weight and they don't fit the rack they are made too small. the crash bars are hollow. all in all I would say this is a one-star piece of equipment unless you can get it for free
