This pasta was very good. I cooked about a cup for two servings. One half cup is enough for me. It takes about 8-9 minutes to cook the pasta al dente. I like it cooked more so I gave it a few more minutes. I put ready made Alfredo sauce in the pan after I dumped the water. Then I cooked it a few more minutes. It had a very good taste and was very filling. The value was good. Each box has several servings in it. I usually prepare it with meat or any type of prepared chicken, including wings.
Barilla medium shells are great for everyday dinner staples like spaghetti and pasta dishes. My kids love these and I like they are Non-GMO. They taste better than most brands %26 gmo free!
Delicious pasta with great texture and flavor. Easy to cook and perfect for a quick family meal. Would purchase again
Best pasta around. It's the only brand I buy. Try adding avocado and tomato to this and dress with lime juice and salt. Chill. Sooooo good.
I love this brand and this is my favorite type of pasta to use for macaroni and cheese because it holds the cheese in the shell itself. And pasta seems to be one of the few things that hasn't risen much in price.
I use them to make my own shells and cheese or pasta salad. They hold up really well. The flavor and texture are great. Another family favorite is pasta and chopped tomatoes.
I looked at every supermarket and online and was so happy to find Medium shell pasta at my Winter Haven Superstore on Cypress Gardens Blvd! Walmart had all the ingredients that I was out of and the shopper chose all the fresh items, as carefully as I would have! Everything was delivered promptly and complete. I love having Walmart , especially as I get older.
i ordered two same one but receive two different ones
I orderd a box of these pastas online from Walmart.com. When the shipment arrived the shipping box was in perfect condition, but inside, this box of pasta had what looked like a rat hole chewed into it, water damage (yes water damage to this single box) and was crushed with half the pasta missing. Someone in the warehouse thought it was acceptable to put a rat chewed, half opened, moisture damage box of pasta into my box-that I paid for-and ship it to me. Walmart refunded my $1.93... whew! Eyeroll. An apology was given after I made a stink about it, but really no accountability was taken. If I order food from any store I don't want to receive food that a rat has already taken a portion of or food that has a box that was clear dried water damage to it OR a box that is open and missing half of the food!
I figured I'd try the Barilla name brand because it was right around the same price as the Great Value brand. This pasta is disgusting. Even if you cook it for an extra minute (9 minutes instead of the recommended 8 for al dente), it's hard. The next day, it's mush. I'll stick with the store brand...
