Im very pleased with my purchase of this Barton pressure cooker/canner. The polished steel is a great look, while the heaviness of the pot denotes timeless strength and longevity. The 22qt size of this pot is perfect for my high quantity canning. Ive used it 4x in 3 weeks. I feel safe with this canner. Ill buy an extra seal just to have on hand.
It was easy to put together they give you everything you will need and follow the directions and you will be canning everything you want. I can a lot because I'm stacking up food for a lot of family and friends so I need everything to be done right and once you start, you will be canning a lot too. I catch sales on meat veggies, fruit and I put together soups, stews, apple pie filling, potatoes and onions bell pepper and mix it with meat I canned 2 jars and dinner is served. It's great for the future if you loose your job you have stored up food to hold you until you get another job. Then restock this is good because you don't know what's going to happen from day to day so be prepared for anything for a long period of time and water also. you can go without food for a long time but not water. Enjoy your new friend that is really a life saver and it works great. make sure to put the rack in the bottom then put in 14 cups of water then put a splash of white vinegar so your jars won't get a white film on them. Then turn on the stove. close the pressure cooker by putting it on top and turn until the handles come together with each other. Make sure to read the Booklet over and over until you get it all done right. For your safety. Canned enough for your neighbor's because you're going to tell everybody and they are going to want to taste it too.
No need to purchase a 600 dollar pressure canner. This has worked flawlessly many times I've used it. It's not an electric, its a stove top. Works better on a gas stove as it will heat up faster.
This pressure cooker is amazing and easy to use. For the size, this pressure cooker is an extreme value. I highly recommend it for purchase. you will love this great value!
One of the pressure canners came and the handle that locks the top lid on is broken and now that canner can't be used. I'm not sure how to return it for a replacement.
would give higher. cooks great but handles cracked on the 2nd use. need to return/exchange but unsure how since ordered online
I bought this one one week ago and used it yesterday. I found the steams are out of a hole on the handle and the pressure valve never whistling even after I turned the stove to the maximum degree and the soup inside should be boiled. Is this normal or something wrong? Please see my attached pictures and the red circle indicates where the steams are leaking out.
Originally ordered a Presto but it was lost in shipment. Then I found this cooker for less and thought it would be worth a try, save some money also. It came with a defective jiggler so it wouldn’t fully pressurize. Steam leaked out the handles, the gauge and of course the jiggler. I called the customer service number on the owners manual to have the jiggler replaced but it’s only a recording to tell you to contact the company you ordered from. I’ve never had a manufacturer not be willing to replace defective parts. Retuning to buy a Presto.
After I received the package, it was broken inside
Nice looking little unit...It came with a plastic handle that was broken in several pieces. The box it came in wasn't damaged.
