I bought this because of the great value of a 2 pack & can be used for both hot or cold. I also liked the fact it wraps around my knee. However, I'm very disappointed that it doesn't perform well when it comes out of the freezer. I followed the instructions & froze it overnight but it isn't cold enough compared to other products. I even had it in the freezer for a week but it didn't make any difference.
Might work great for a heat wrap, but just don't hold cold. Had in chest freezer for several days, put on ankle was warm within 10-15 min. Was very disappointed.
Perfect size for a broken wrist/ therapy - one for heating prior to exercising and the other for icing it afterwards. So happy to find them & only at Walmart!! TX PA
These do not stay warm very long so it's not very useful for joint pain.
This is my second pack of wraps I've purchased, and gave one of the first two to a friend. I use it on my knee every morning, to alleviate the ache on the side of my knee. After several months of use, the Velcro wasn't sticking, so I purchased a new twin pack. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Good size and easy to heat
These things are hard to find and I've been looking for more of them for ages. First of all, they're about 6"X17" so they easily fit around knees, elbows, ankles, etc. The Velcro closures make them very adjustable. I have no idea where they came up with the measurements in the description on the website but it's totally wrong. They have some kind of granular filling instead of gel. This means they heat up faster without hot spots. Just fold them in half and nuke 'em (they will not fit flat per package directions). You'll find the exact time after a couple of tries. The reason I like them better than the gel is they last longer. The gel ones eventually spring a leak and they heat unevenly. These seem fairly indestructible, and they're light weight and flexible, so you can walk around your house with them wrapped on a joint. Also, they give you moist heat, which is what the professionals recommend. I do agree with other reviewer that they don't make really good cold packs, but for heat packs they can't be beat, and with two in a pack you can daisy chain them and use for almost anything.
This is great because you can wear it to bed, but make sure if you need to wear it during the day that you don't move around too much. It slips really badly. Oh - and it doesn't fit flat in my microwave so it tends to only get hot in parts and is cold in parts. Other than that I think this is a great product - I use it a lot on my knee and it does the job I need it to.
This fastens around a sore limb and really helps...previous bed buddys just drape and fall off, but this has velcro...just don't use it on bare skin because it does get hot.
Just what I needed for my sprained knee.
