Short review-Value for Price! Any malfunctions or frailness from 1 star rating are probably mishandling from Shipping or Handling in warehouse or store. I have owned this for 9 months and use it 3/4 times a week. Dropped it several times. Works great. Any leaking is from too much batter or too runny batter. Any other complaints I've read are typical of any home quality waffle maker. Long winded Review-I got this at the beginning of last Summer/Late Spring. It was only $9.99 then. Seems all the prices went up drastically, anyway at $19.99 I'm still going to buy a second one for weekend/vacation home. Comparatively, still the best deal. I read all the reviews less then 5 stars. It is true that it does not always sit completely level. I have had perfect waffles though despite this. If you put too much batter in it will run out the sides regardless. Or, if the batter is to liquidy it may come out. Simple solution, cheap Paper plate underneath and fold the top and bottom to fit under. Foil, parchment paper, etc. Not the first waffle iron I've owned or used. Unless you buy a commercial use one for $$$$$ and use the batter meant for them like the make your own waffle in hotels with free breakfast, then you can't beat it for $20. If the waffles are under done or burnt then it's the batter your using or user error. This is where common sense pays off! The Green indicator light goes on when it reaches a certain temp, not when the waffle is done to your preference. We are not in the Jetson's level of technology yet for $19.99. After using it a few times you will get to know it. I only use it with homemade scratch batter mix. Once or twice with store bought. If your waffle is over done then you have to time it with a timer. If it is under done then close it back up for a little longer. Fortunately the batter I use is done exactly when the green light goes on. I have to remove the waffle quickly or it will be a little more well done. Most of the quality issues are probably user error or happened at warehouse, shipping or store handling. I use mine average every other day for the last 9 months for my son who loves waffles. Believe me I'm not gentle with it at all. No issues. Never heard of Bella brand before this. Have had GE, Black
Makes excellent, large sized waffles. Easy to use and easy clean up!
Love this waffle maker. It makes delicious waffles. Love the lighting features!!!!
This was a gift for my nephew. He has called numerous times to tell me how much he loves this waffle maker.
The waffle maker was a gift for my daughter. She loves it, and has used it almost daily. Makes great waffles that are thick and fluffy. Easy to use, and light comes on when it is done. Great product!
This product is very good. I makes the best waffles. Fluffy and light.
Easy to use! Quick Saturday morning breakfast. Just buy the mix and pour it in. Comes right out with no mess when using a cooking spray.
I received a used and broken waffle maker that had been carefully repackaged. I expect more from purchasing a new product. It's too late to return it because I lost track of time, due to my father's emergency surgery and hospitalization. Just spend an extra $10 for another brand, or carefully inspect your product to ensure you're not getting something someone else has used before.
When I got this home took it out of the box set it and and poured the batter into the maker, flipped it over and the batter leaked all over. Thought I had over filled it so the next one used half of what I had before and again leaked all over. Got looking at it closer and it is not designed very well. It won't locked closed and when you turn it over the pan doesn't turn all the over flat so it allows the batter to leak out, Returned it for a refund. The lady working the counter told me that they get lots of these back for the same reason.
It comes apart after flipping a couple of times, the heating time varies, Instructions for cooking time very vague, you just have to play around with your waffles until you get the perfect timing to get it right, even if the lights turns green(when is supposed to be ready) it not cooked and needs more time. I did not returned it was not worth the driving time or the gas.
