Better Homes & Gardens Lyra Glass Drinkware Set, 16.7 oz, 4-Piece

Because of a hand injury, I've been unable to pick up the glasses from the set/style we've been using for many years. Our daughter showed me some glasses from a "dollar store", and I bought one to try. It was perfect for my hand, but only came in one size, and I wanted a set with short %26 tall glasses. Lyra is perfect in both sizes. The indentations allow me to hold them securely, and I like their style visually as well.

In had a sombrero drink in these glasses and wanted to buy the glass and was told NO because they were low in stock, Sooo I looked to Walmart for the glasses and now I have my own, No Sombrero but I use for soda or water! You will love them.

My wife is handicapped and finds the bottom makes the glass heavier than she would prefer. The glass is sturdy. They come out of the dishwasher in sparkling condition. The shape makes it very easy to hold.

Extra, fun, quick drink in the kitchen glass. One of the best aspects of the purchase was that I received them both unbroken and uncracked. Great first step

I was most impressed with the solid feel of the glasses. No immediate worry about brealage. i especially like the indented places for holding the glass. Provides a good feeling of grasp.

Though these glasses are made by Libbey, they are not Libbey Impressions for Wal-Mart. At least they are not the same as 20 years ago. The new Impressions may be different. I managed to break 2 of the old ones this year. So, either I find replacements, or buy a new set. Libbey, Impressions, cost $30 for 4, and are astronomical individually. I opted to give these a whirl since the price is $10 for 4. When looking down, the rim on the old ones is slightly thicker and darker. The dimple underneath, and four on the sides of the glasses are pretty much spot on, as is the color viewed from the side. The sound they make is tinny, like two wine glasses clanking together. The old ones have a deeper ring to them, which means these are slightly thinner walled, and so explains the difference in the rim. So, if you are getting these for the first time, they are Jam-up and Jelly-tight, though they may be a little thin. If you are looking to replace old Impressions, and you are as nitpicky as me, spend $30 and let me know if it was worth it.

I love the glasses. Except when I received them one was broken. Now I have to jump through hoops to get them replaced. I order on line because I'm disabled. I can't go to the store and I don't have a printer to make a lable. So I'm stuck with a broken glass.

These glasses are stylish, good weight and size, and appear to be appropriate for everyday use, but they are not. One was cracked when they arrived, but I liked them, so I kept them. I was even going to order more. Within 2 days, two more had broken while hand washing. Quite disappointing for a recognized name brand.

These glasses are very bottom heavy. I've broken one each week because they have to be positioned just right so they don't tip over in the dishwasher. Unfortunately, even when propped next to other items, it happens frequently.
