I recently tried the Oreo Cookie Pie Mix from Walmart, and it is a fantastic option if you need a quick, impressive dessert. The base has that classic, rich Oreo chocolate flavor and a soft, fudgy texture that feels much more "homemade" than a standard store-bought cookie. The preparation is incredibly simple and beginner-friendly—it only took me about 30 minutes from start to finish. One tip for future bakers: if you want a thicker, more stable filling, use slightly less milk than the box calls for. It makes the "creme" layer much heartier! I almost don't want to say these are good because I don't anybody else buying them
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this Betty Crocker Oreo Cookie Pie Mix! The smell of Oreo is irresistible, the texture holds perfectly, and the performance serves the whole family. Simple ingredients, 250g size is perfect for a quick, delicious dessert. High resistance .
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The preparation is super easy! The instructions are very clear on the box so is easy to follow them even if you have any experience. They tastes really good (like the regular Oreos) but more like a dessert, smooth :)
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These Betty Crocker Oreo Pies are so easy to make and are very delicious! It took about 30 minutes in total with a lot of time just waiting for the cookie portion to bake and cool. Very easy cleanup as well. Be careful because you will end up making a lot of these Oreos so bring some friends!
I think that the filling leaves a little to be desired and the pie is good but a little more dry than I would prefer (if I was to make them again I'd go a minute or two less than what the directions state), but over all, these are pretty tasty
These are good but a little complicated to make. Overall, I liked it
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a sandwich it's not ideal since the cream shoots out of all the sides as you bite down, but the cookies are delicious. They taste just like Oreos. However, the cream is mostly just oil, sugar, and artificial vanilla, so it's more of a whipped cream situation rather than the creme from an Oreo.
The cookie was delicious. The instructions were simple, but mixing the dough was a bit of a pain. Maybe my butter wasn't softened enough, but it just took a bit to incorporate, and boy was it sticky. What ruined it for me what the filling. I was expecting a thicker consistency, to be similar in taste like an Oreo filling but maybe the consistency of a frosting. I'm NOT a whipped cream fan (texture or taste) and no amount of me adding confectioners sugar and vanilla bean paste could help it for me. Family said they were good, but the texture of the filling caused it to easily squirt out the back after just 1 bite. I so wanted to love these, but the filing should be labeled as "whipped topping" since the image doesn't demonstrate the "whipped" nature of the filling. If it came with a container of frosting, I may buy it again for the small amount for my small family. This is the 2nd Oreo mix I've bought that I've been disappointed with and likely won't buy anymore to try (the molton lava one was better than this mix, but still not worth buying again).
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These tasted similar to Oreo but the chocolate seems off and the filling needs to be a bit sweeter. But making these took longer than I would have liked. I questioned the box directions as it says to mix the softened butter with the mix and egg all together at once. With cookies, usually you cream the butter first and that would have been way easier as it clumped up when mixing. Ifrom the directions it also seems like you can just mix that part by hand, but I ended up using a hand mixer. For a beginner baker thinking they're getting an easy desert to throw together it takes some baking knowledge to fix the directions. But I continued as directed to see how it would work. The resulting dough is super sticky and I put it in the fridge after mixing, before scooping, for the recommended 20 minutes and it did nothing to help. I used a cookie scoop, which worked at first had the scoop not broken (not sure if from the super sticky dough). It seems like not enough dough for 12 cookies and it barely made it. After tediously scraping the bowl well and pulling some dough from other balls already made, I was able to make the last cookie. After all this work I would rather make a recipe from scratch that wouldn't come out as sticky. The filling I thought would not thicken up, but it eventually did… far past the 2 minutes it said to blend. They tasted okay, I wish the cream was even thicker and more Oreo filling consistency. The cookies I wish were softer so you could bite through them easier without squishing the 2 together and squeezing all the filing out. I also think it should have enough to make 24 cookies so you end up with 12 cookie pies. It's a neat idea for a fun treat, but it needs improving.
Label says 12 servings. Actually makes 6 cookies after put 2 cookies together. Also the filling was tasteless.
