I especially enjoyed that it was flexible and could get into areas that were otherwise inaccessible such as with a kerosene heater I needed to work on recently. It also helps to light the fire in my woodstove easier than trying to reach in with a regular hand held lighter. I found the flexibility of this lighter to really be quite handy in various situations.

Everything from lighting candles (the huge jar candles, that are always a pain to light with a normal lighter), lighting the grill, to lighting birthday candles. It works exactly like you think and does not disappoint! It's perfect for when your candle is almost gone and you can't get anything in there to reach the wick or you can't see to light it.

This lighter can be used to light anything especially something difficult. The wand goes anyway you want. I've tried other's and this Bic is the best! It lasts longer too. I highly recommend this. I'll will be buying more for our camping trips and as gifts.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited for the arrival of BIC Multipurpose Flex Wand Lighter as I had a candle in a old oddly shaped glass bottle that I couldn't light any longer because I couldn't get to the wick. The BIC reached that wick no problem! My only complaint was that it ran out of fluid rather quickly; a little premature for my liking. All in all, I would buy this again.
