The Bike Shop Bike Chain Repair kit is pretty good. Its made of nicely constructed metal. Its very sturdy and strong, not cheap and flimsy at all. My sons are always messing up there bike chains and normally when you do it by hand it can be a major pain and very hard to do . My son who is 8 was even able to figure out how to use this and fix his chain that is how easy this is to do on any bike. My sons love this bike chain repair kit because they can use it over and over on there bikes to fix there chains . My sons love to rid there bikes and always manage to mess the chain up and the tires . This makes it so super easy and fast to fix those chains so they can be out and riding there bikes in no time. We found this chain repair tool kit is so handy and to quickly go DIY and fix chain at ease without running to bike repair shops. The tool and cleaning pads are really useful that come along with multiple chain connectors. . It's robustly constructed, very compact, and plenty precise enough to do the job. Instructions are terse and easy to follow. The pins on the existing chain are not hard to punch out. The two comes with two sizes of pin pushers, and you need to use the narrow pusher to push the pin out, and if you are replacing a pin, the wider pin will do the job. I mainly this tool if you want to break chains with ease. This is so much better from the previous tool I had tried. It won't hurt your thumb at all. And it came with multiple chains links. Just awesome! With the included portable chain breaker and the extra quick-links, this is well worth the price. This being in small box would make easy to carry with biking at all times , probably attach to some back of the seat or underneath. I usually like to keep my mini pump along with one of the bars over bottom and I would even keep in poly cover and plaster around. Nice and recommend.

It pretty universal has the chain tool and makes a repair possible - we had a bad link in one of the kids bikes and was able to use the peice to repair it and not have to replace the entire chain. It’s not as simple as you might think but mostly it was cheapest route- and happy kids make a happy life worthy of a try.

This is a great little bike repair kit! I have two rough and rowdy boys and we live in the country. Our boys ride on rough terrain rather than smooth sidewalks. Their bikes are in constant need of little repairs and this kit has been a life savor. The tools are extremely sturdy and will last through the years. The kit had everything my husband needed to put my sons bike chain back on his bike and tighten it up like new. I love the plastic package it comes is. Anything that has a storage box is huge plus for me. It keeps all of these handy tools in one safe little spot and lid snaps tightly shut. This is a great kit and has made my husband and my kids very happy!

This item indicates it works on both a 1/8" and 3/32" bike chain. I have a 3/32" chain on a 10 speed. On my chain, the roller on the linkage can not fully recess to the bottom of the tool slot. Therefore. the pin pusher is not able to align with the chain linkage pin. This prevents the tool from operating as described.

bought this and tried it on 4 chains and couldn't get the pin out on the 5th try it broke, need I say no more!
