Just make sure to wash and dry the vacuum thoroughly (dismantle the parts inside and out) after your done mopping. Otherwise it will stink even if the vacuum is resting in wet soap/the plastic resting base. Also if you have long hair be prepared to cut/pull/clean it off the rotating brush/part.
I bought this because I have hardwood floors throughout and to vacuum, and then go back and mop was quite a chore. With this, I can vacuum up small bits at the same time as I mop the floor, which makes the job half as long. I love the fact that there's a little rubber feet inside the mop head, which scrubs a little bit harder on the sticky spots on the floor. Cleanup is a breeze, and I am super happy with how clean my floors are.
I have porcelain tile through out my house and I also have 2 dogs that are more like pigs Bissell is bye far the best hard floor and pet mess cleaning I have ever had and i have had them all ever Dyson. I mean cleans every grout line and every impression in the tiles leaves nothing behind.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, this is the most amazing vacuum mop combination tool that I have ever seen. The color of that water after my first time doing the floor was foul. Just foul. Its obviously getting the nasties that my swifter, broom, and everything else missed. I have a 14 week old puppy and this thing has amazingly gotten all of the urine and odor out of my home. First time i tried it on carpet, it had a tough time using the brush that comes with the kit. Did my research and I bought the 'area rug' brush attachment specific for carpet and used in the only room in the house that has carpet: the bedroom. Ive attached photos of the stains that this thing lifted. Those stains are 2-3 years old and my handheld carpet steamer couldn't even get them out. I was ready to buy new carpet until I tried this thing. It cleans the carpeted room like a dream with the proper brush attachment. Highly Recommend!!! for anyone with pets, kids, or just anyone really.
This is exactly what I needed for my hard floors. I am older and just don't have the energy to push a mop around and swiffers just didn't get the job done because this floor is the most used one in the house. Love it!
I have tried several similar type products and always end up back at this one. I have had 3 or 4 of them over the last 10 years. The only thing I wish it did better, is sprayed the water out evenly. It always tends to be mostly on one side, with every one of them. I just work around it. Also, it would be a plus if it wasn't so loud. With that being said, it does the best job cleaning and mostly not streaking.
The vacuumed is lightweight and easy to manipulate, the suction is very good for its size. The water cleaning seems good , I like the compact size and ease to use.
I had not been happy with Swiffer/bona or other floor cleaners. I used this three times because there was so much dirt left by the other products. Very happy with the Bissell system.
Nice machine but it really needs an upgrade in suction power and a more effective scrub brush. This is my second machine and the small improvement of the added pet hair strainer was a improvement over the old. Same motor and same underpower is the main issue
The Bissell CrossWave is quite disappointing. It's very loud during operation, which makes it unpleasant to use. More importantly, it doesn't clean effectively—especially on tough or dirty spots. I often have to go over the same area multiple times to see any improvement. It also struggles to reach and clean corners properly. Overall, it doesn't perform as well as expected.
