Bissell Proheat Pet Turbo Carpet Cleaner - 1799V

I was very excited when the Bissell Proheat Pet Turbo cleaner finally arrived. The instructions were very easy to follow and within a few minutes I was cleaning. We have a 5 year old off white sectional that is just about impossible to keep clean with 3 kids and 3 dogs in our home. I was literally amazed at the dirt that this machine was pulling off of the cushions. The water was extremely dirty. I honestly never thought our couch would look this good again. After successfully cleaning our sectional, I followed by doing all of our carpets. This cleaner was able to remove stains that had been there for months. One of the best compliments I've received was hearing that no one would ever know I have pets because my house always smell was good! Great quality cleaner that definitely gets the job done!

It was interesting to see inside of the handle before assembling it to the main piece. It's hollow and the button just seems to press a different button in the main piece that sprays the water. Putting together the three pieces was very easy until the very last step of screwing in the bottom two small screws. They did not want to go all the way in. It brought back memories of my last shampooer that I left for my mother when I moved years ago, which must have also been this brand because the bucket was so much alike. I prepared a section of carpet by vacuuming it prior. I got the hot water in the bucket and the cleaner in it's container and attached to the main part of the shampooer. I turned it on and started going back and forth slowly, spraying the carpet and sucking it up over and over again. The hose for the life of me would not stay put wrapped up. Like it just could not wait to be used. Well it got it's chance to be used too. I was not satisfied with the main shampooer so I took the hose with one of the attachments and went to town on the two bad spot areas. This method got the spots even cleaner because I had more control over the force and power of the brush. The spot near the wall you see, the brush from the main part of the shampooer can't reach at all so the attachment is very necessary to get near the wall good. Now that I was finished with the shampooer, there were globs of hair and sand and carpet fibers clumps on the floor that needed to be vacuumed up. Next, taking apart the components of the shampooer to clean and keep in good condition is a cleaning job all on its own. One thing at a time though. Dump out the nasty water bucket and rinse that out. Clean out the lint filter. Clean out the brush area. Lots of stuff gets flung up back there instead of getting sucked up but for the globs that get stuck in the suction area there's a tool to help clean it out too. Cleaning out the hose was interesting. I knew that it wasn't likely that most of the liquid would make it to the bucket so when it came to cleaning that out I was right, most of the water was still sitting in the hose and I manuvered the hose carefully to get it to pour out what was in it already, then ran clean water into it, not much, just enough to do the same thing to rinse it out one time. Glad I checked that because it would have been a nasty surprise to wrap it up and that stuff come splashing out on me and the floor.

Purchased about a year ago. It's been used a handful of times and I trying to clean furniture… however the spray part on the hand held tools does not spray, drips if anything! I have searched online, the support website, the manual it came with, YouTube, google search with images, ChatGPT, even TikTok! And nothing has helped! So annoyed and disappointed.

I liked the price $124.00 but the day before it was to be delivered I received notice that Walmart canceled the delivery. When I looked at the item again it had been repriced at $159 and change. This is very shoddy way to treat a customer. I've never had this happen with Amazon orders.

Don't buy this is an awful machine! Wouldn't even work right out of the box, returned it for a hoover which works great. I tried everything and could not get this one to spray any water/cleaner out. And for the price it is very poor quality and awful mechanics.

I've only had this cleaner since May. It hasn't worked for the majority of the time. I have the warranty. I contacted the company and the most they said to fix the issue is to try to trouble shooting videos they attached to the email. The trouble shooting did not work. I have sent another email and still have yet to hear anything. I am saddened about this purchase. I had a bissell before that worked great and only switched because it got wore out over time.

I ordered my steam cleaner last Monday and it came the next day, put it together Wednesday and it only worked for 30mins before it stop squirting water and the brushes would not spin. it had this smell like the belt was burning, but it was still intact. I'm sending it back and I hope the new one will work better. I'm very disappointed!

I've had Bissell cleaners in the past with no problem. There was so little suction with water I have been using bathtowels all afternoon soaking up excess water from my carpet. Just disgusted . Not this model again and not from Wal-Mart. I have bought less expensive models with better performance. .

I’m not sure if my Pacific one is broken or if it’s a poor quality but it will not pick up any hair or any fibers and it drags. I specifically got this unit because it mentions it’s best for pet owner however, I’m not quite sure if that’s correct may be OK if you have small kids and a cure stains often, but not for pet owners in my case. Because although I did vacuum before the cleaning process hair still tend sticks to the carpet, so the remaining hair deep in the carpet with just rolls up. so it seems to remove stains but the brush will not move. It took me literally five hours to clean a small room. I think a 10 x 12 only because I had to cut silly pick up small hair. Going back going forward going back going forward there was hair to be picked up. in the pictures, you will see a trashcan full of hair. That’s how much accumulated in five hours with me having to pick up a little at a time Will have to do a return on this item.

Waste of money - returned! The product works so poorly, its assembly instructions come with a portion about how to fix it when it breaks. I turned it on and within 20 seconds it stopped working. The issue is with the belts — but also the cleaning fluid chamber leaks. Anyway - save your money. It’s a terrible machine.
