Black Bull 4 Ton Hydraulic Bottle Jack HBJ4

I bought this to keep in my 26 ft enclosed trailer for emergency flat tires I was a little surprised by the small size, however it has worked perfectly for what I bought it for

I took a gamble on this jack that it would work in the horizontal position and it does - as long as you rotate the jack so that the hydraulic pump assembly is on the bottom. As another reviewer mentioned the jack is very small - I guess it's impressive that such a little thing can have a 4 ton rating. The piston extension is also fairly impressive in relation to the size and you can screw out the end pad several inches to make the reach further yet. The small base size might make it a bit tippy for lifting a vehicle though but I have not tried that yet. I used this as a hydraulic ram to do some bodywork on a vehicle and it worked like a charm. It does seem a bit sticky though when you release and I had to fight it to get it to retract - hence the knocking off of one star. Great value all the same.
