I see a lot of 1 star reviews, coming back to get some replacement bulbs. I'd like to add a positive experience! I'm on about 200 acres of land in Northern Minnesota. A river to one side a marsh on another the rest is forest. Bigs where brutal last year so I got 2 of these last spring. One between house
this works great! we use the leaf blower to clean out the bugs every night because their is so many.
This zapper is larger and the glow isnt as bright as last one I bought, but I did hear a zap! Its just heating up, so I'll find it? Thanks!
Have been using this brand of bug zappers since moving into our house 29 years ago. Only brand and size I"ll use.
It works very well and zaps quietly and has sturdy construction. great value. I'm glad i got this over the other brand i was considering. Very happy with purchase.
OMG at the dead bugs. LOL We put a roll of fly tape on the bottom and every single morning we have to replace the fly tape and blow out the bugs inside this zapper.
it does not make the electric zap sound, I don't think the purple bulb attracts any bugs. left it on several day/evenings and it did have a couple dead bugs.
it works sometimes then the bulb went out. never came back on. too expensive for only killing flies.
would like to return not working as it should. Bob, just do burn and don't kill the bugs. it supposed to zap them
Frequently delivers a weak shock similar to a mild body static discharge shock that leaves the flying insect injured and crawling around on the ground or inside the bottom of the zapper, sentenced to a slow painful death. Unlike the zappers of years past, this Black Flag BZ-40DX 'energy saving' zapper does not deliver the loud strong burst of electricity that will consistently, mercifully, instantaneously obliterate a flying insect.
