What's not to like?

JL December 2, 2024

Ordered this Black %26 Decker to replace an older Mr. Coffee model of 15 years that was starting to show some wear. Basically the same machine but with a delayed start and various programs. I haven't used the programs, my husband is the main coffee drinker and if it takes more than pushing one or two buttons, doesn't happen. That said; it works and brews well, like the delayed start and the sneak a cup is great. Delivered fairly quickly and in good condition. Nice sale price. No complaints.

Stood the test of time so I bought a second one

I've had this coffee maker for over 12 years . Previously I had the model with just had the on-off button. I was so happy to see that I could program this one and setup my coffee the night before so it was brewed when I woke up. Only time it didn't make coffee in the morning was when the power went out. I set the "bold" setting to the highest. It usually takes about 7 minutes to brew a 1/2 pot. My absolute favorite feature is the auto-shutoff. This thing turned itself off after 2 hours. I'm still tickled to death with it! I would frequently forget to turn off my old coffee maker when I'd leave for work back in the early 2000s. Why did I buy another one? Recently my sister mentioned her coffee maker had died. She didn't want anything fancy, and Walmart delivered it right to her house. I bought her a fancy single-cup maker less than a year ago for her birthday, and it broke within 7 months. This time I know she has a good one that will last her for years and years.

Simple as it should be

Don't fix what isn't broken. The new designs are junk. Ordered a second to have as a backup on hand. New models have needless "upgrades" with poor reviews. Drip style has no need to be complicated, save that for the pod people. On/off and a start timer is all that's needed.

Great coffee maker

Dakota February 3, 2025

Great coffee pot, love it! Has Auto-brew feature and a Stop-drip feature, to pour while brewing. It has a sleek yet bold design and works well.

This latest purchase of this particular coffee maker is our 4th or 5th replacement over many years. We get around 3 years of use with this brand and model and make coffee multiple times per day with no trouble. The unit works pretty much flawlessly until it just wears out and the element quits heating. My only complaint is that it doesn't have an adjustment for the burner temp so we compensate by not allowing the glass carafe to sit completely down on the burner and it helps keep the coffee from scorching. Overall it's a well made and reasonably priced average coffee maker. I'm sure I'll be buying another one in the future.

Mine was heavily wrapped in plastic which was good. However a bracket from the back was pulled off during the unwrapping. I don't know if it was broken or just happened. It makes making coffee complicated but I know it's a good coffee maker and I could have returned it but did not.

I bought this coffee maker thinking it was the same as the one I broke, it was not. This one feels cheaply made due to the filter holder is pushed up by the pot so it just wobbles in the coffee maker until you close the lid carefully. If you don't pay attention while closing the lid, the filter housing could be sitting wrong and the water flows over your filter and you end up with grounds in the pot. I like the automatic shut off, but doesn't have a timer on it to let you know how long its been on like previous models.

Buy after research.

Frances March 16, 2026

I would recommend with reservations. Makes a good cup of coffee, but unit itself is cheaply made. It is easy to use. I hadn't bought a new pot in a long time and should have researched a little more. Again, inexpensive pot, makes a good cup of coffee.

Good, reasonably priced, but slightly flawed

auldguy January 20, 2026

This is the third coffee maker of this B%26D model I have owned. The first two lasted 5-6 years each, although they did get a little leaky later on. This model seems to have all the good features of the previous models with one exception, the carafe lid. If you intend to remove the lid often, beware. A rather simple design "improvement" (probably cheaper ) design of the slot/knob attachment to the lid spur makes removing the lid without breaking either the knob or the slot. Still, it makes fine coffee, is easily operated, and will likely last a half-dozen years or so for a very reasonable price . And since I still have one of the carafes from a previous model I am well equipped for production.
