When your Mr. Coffee maker bites the dust, you look for a fresh cup. The Black and Decker model came out of the box ready to go, no instructions really needed. It's easy to grab a cup while the maker is still brewing without flooding the counter. Easy to clean and shuts itself off in two hours. Eureka, I have found it!
I had the exact same model of B%26D coffee maker for nearly 20 years. Used it almost every day during that time. Talk about a quality product and well worth the money!
I was looking for a coffee maker in white, and to come online to find one. I absolutely love this Black and Decker coffee maker. Easy to work and love that it can be programed. Super-fast delivery. Highly recommend!
I like the green light to show that coffee maker is on. I also like how the top open to pour water in on either side. The coffee maker was well wrapped and packaged.
The first one of these I had got water spots on the outside of the glass coffee pot that I could not get removed. Do you have instructions on how to remove water spots?
Not an exact replacement for its predecessor, but it's close enough to be a keeper.. The plastic is thinner, the display isn't as bright, the water-level window is near-unreadable and the lid-hinge is too tight.. But it does its job perfectly well. Suggestion: if you wash the lid and carafe in the dishwasher, you will want to loosen the plastic hinge on the lid. The lid should easily pop off the jar with modest pressure. Out of the box, ours was too tight. All those minor bits aside: it still nakes good coffee,
price is excellent. The device to hold the coffee grounds does not allow the coffee pot to be taken in and out of the coffee maker. It sticks. The 12 cup mark on the water level is difficult to see, sometimes adding too much water, and possible leakage. Brewed coffee tastes good.
I had this exact model several years ago and was happy it was available again, and that's where it ends. it functions nothing like my previous one. I should have believed the reviews stating two issues. It's correct that the lid is extremely hard to open. It's also correct and a deal-breaker for me that the carafe is wedged so tight under the brew basket that you literally have to hold the bottom of the coffee maker to pull it out. Same with putting it back in. I only ran water through it but I did do 12 cups and coffee literally sloshed out when the carafe finally released itself from under the brew basket! The design is good the water fill is really easy to see and the price is hard to beat. But I'm still taking it back because I can't deal with those two issues especially the carafe being wedged so tight under the brew basket. I'm going to go with the one I have right now which is the Hamilton Beach. I like it very much the only thing that I don't care for is the clock is not illuminated and a bit hard to read, and the water fill is on the side and also a little hard to read. But I really like everything else about it and have been very satisfied with it so I will reorder that one.
Why I dislike this B%26D machine. Every time I made Coffee there was a lot of water in the grounds. The water spout is part of the lid. Not easy to put water in. Don't try it fast!
Not at all what I expected from Black Decker. Poor quality!! Glass Coffee pot must be handled with EXTRA care otherwise you risk breaking. Glass feels barely there. The plastic feels less than- it's really flimsy. I returned. You get what you pay for. I ended up paying extra for a durable coffee machine.
