BLACK+DECKER 5-Cup Switch Coffee Maker

I gave the Black Decker 5 cup coffee maker a well deserved five stars. It matched or exceeded all of my coffee making expectations. It's smart design lets me clearly see the water level in the reservoir. There's a super wide area for pouring water in. Brews up my coffee within three minutes and not one drop of coffee dripped out when I removed the carafe. My coffee has a nice rich coffee taste. Not a burnt taste like my previous slow as molasses coffee maker. And the price of the Black Decker 5 cup coffee maker really can't be beat. So I'm a very pleased coffee drinking customer.

so far this has been a great coffee pot. people complained about the left-handed use which I don't understand yeah it's on your left side but what difference would it make if it was on your right side you still have to push the button. it works out good for me because the way my coffee pot is positioned it's actually easier for me to get to the left side. it hasn't dripped when I've been pouring. the coffee comes out hot and I really can't find any complaints about it. I really like it better than my Mr coffee maker. it remains to be seen how long it will last but it seems fairly durable to me as any other coffee pot on that price range. I actually like the way the lid is that I can take it off the one on my other coffee maker was always when it would flip up it would end up popping off and I'd have to put it back on again. so right now this is definitely five stars and worth the money that I spend for it.

I bought this coffee maker to replace an old one. I don't need a large coffee maker anymore. I usually drink 1 cup of coffee in the morning and was using my Keurig. But coffee made in this just tastes better -and it's hotter. Easy to clean and looks nice on my countertop! Highly recommend if you need a small coffeemaker!

This little 5-cupper works great. It makes very hot coffee and keeps it warm until you turn it off. The opening to pour your water in is large and makes it easy to fill with no spills. Takes about 10 minutes to brew and drain water from filter. When on sale for $21 it's a great bargain. No telling on longevity but so far I like this small machine.

My husband and I each only drink one cup of coffee in the morning. Filling the coffee maker up to the "4 cup line" is the perfect serving for us. We considered getting a fancy, single-serve coffee maker, but they're ridiculously expensive. It brews just the right amount of coffee; the coffee maker is small in size; and brews delicious, HOT coffee. We are able to see the blue light switch when it is turned on. The only cons are that it does not have an auto shut-off feature, and that it does not come with a reusable filter basket for the grinds (I bought one separately at Walmart). Nevertheless, we are very pleased with our purchase.

It makes good coffee, and I love the 5 cup size. It's very difficult to find round coffee filters that fit it well. I've settled on unbleached ones that are designed for a larger pot and they work well. I would have preferred cone shaped filters and a little smaller unit (I had an old one that I loved, but they only last 4-5 years) and are not available any more.

I ALWAYS PURCHASED BLACK %26 DEKER COFFEE MAKERS...BUT I AM LITTLE DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE IT LEAKS A LOT. I WILL OF COURSE USE IT, BUT THE QUALITY HAS CHANGED. TO BE HONEST THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE AND I CAN'T AFFORD SPENDING $60.00 OR MORE FOR A COFFEE MAKER.

Only redeeming quality that sets it apart from most others in it's price range is the large opening to fill the water reservoir. Negative features include very stiff on/off switch, no safety timed self kill switch and it drips a few times when you get a cup before brewing is completed. Frankly, I would have returned it if not for the easy to fill water reservoir.

I bought this coffee maker because it was advertised on the website as having an automatic shut off. It does NOT have an automatic shutoff. There are no visual instructions that show how to place the basket into the coffee maker so that the water runs through the middle hole. The first time I used it, the basket simply filled up and did not drain into the carafe.

This product is not as advertised. The description online says it DOES come with a permanent filter. Open the box and there is no permanent filter and an italicized line on the pamphlet saying permanent filter not available in all models. After reading other reviews it clearly wasn't left out by mistake it simply doesn't come with one, although Walmarts description online says it does
