I like this grinder as it is the first one I've ever owned... no problems with it as of yet. Although the picture is different than what I received.... I won't complain about that because its a minor issue.

Wanted it to sharpen garden tools, it did a great job. On/Off switch is a safety switch, slide forward ON, press down on rear of switch to slide OFF. It's a grinder NOT a cutter.

Have put 2 of the 6 purchased to use in our steel fabricating shop with no problems so far. The great thing about these is the price and if they do go bad just toss them and buy new ones. So far we're using them for some pretty heavy grinding of welds and they have the power to do what we need them to do.

I got this tool today, I do home renovations and a lot of hard, dirty work. I also smith as a hobby making knives and axes, etc. I like BD tools more specifically porter cable branded, but since I was in walmart it was an offhand purchase. My local WM is a mess at all times and of the 3 display grinders this was the only one you could buy, not to mention even in their system, though, WM aside, I'm very happy with the tool. This grinder is rated best for your buck on the showdown lists (branded PC, same tool) and everything an angle grinders supposed to do this does, and well. I have no doubt it will NEVER break but at the price I would 100% repurchase.

Must have gotten a defective unit. Motor locked up after 10 minutes of use. Second one works great.

The grinder seems to work well, but the on/off switch is not located in a good position for a left handed user. I would think the tool would be more ambidextrous if the switch was on the top of the tool instead of on the side. You can still use it if you are left handed, but it probably won't be as convenient for you and may not be as safe either.
