Sander Meets Needs
This sander is versatile and flexible. The collection bag is kind of inefficient and does not catch much of the residue. The sander works good, though. Gets kind of heavy on horizontal surfaces.

simple to operate great design
This sander is excellent. Very easy to change sanding belts. Switching between coarse,medium,fine belts I have not had to mess with the tracking adjustment. just swap belt and run. Best feature after lot of sanding notice dust bag full. Very little dust on project and table. this sander was going to be a backup sander for my misplaced older sander. after running this machine I'm not too interested in finding my now older backup sander

I would buy this product any time

This is the best belt sander,no issues works great
Never had any problems with B&D tool, and have gotten a lot of value from them.

My old one (more than 5years old) ate my t-shirt and I could not take it apart. Ordered a new one and it performs fine but seems to use a little cheaper materials (plastic and not metal flapper). Doesn't seem to affect operations though

Tricky alignment knob at first.
Like the extra feature of sanding above in tight places. If Dewalt is part of Black and Decker, there should be a similar Dewalt version. Tricky belt alignment knob at first. It was all over the place on adjusting, but finally got a little better after screwing all the out and all the way in.

No mount to use the sander upside down as a bench
Disappointing or bait and switch? The included picture of features that come with it show a plastic mount that holds the sander upside down to act as a bench sander. Not only not included, but not mentioned even as an option.

Okay in Very Small Use
Drive roller bearing failed after less than 2 hours use, despite giving cooldown breaks (5 minutes on, 2 minutes off) based on previous reviews here and on other sites. If just using for very small projects, maybe worth the money, if not, look at the next tier up.
