BLACK+DECKER DCM600B 5-Cup Drip Coffeemaker with Glass Carafe, Black

I almost didn't buy it because of bad reviews from others. THAT would've been a mistake. I work on a 700 ft. steamship on the Great Lakes. It gets "bumpy" & cold out here. We have a Rec room with a coffee pot but sometimes in the winter, I just want GREEN TEA & don't feel like dumping out a whole pot of coffee & making another for the crew. This Black & Decker coffee maker actually makes 6 cups of hot water which is the perfect size for my oversized coffee cup filled with GREEN TEA. It takes a while to run the water through but that makes it better than the full sized one in the REC Room because it makes coffee in 4 minutes, regardless of how fine the coffee grounds are, spilling & making a mess. This is the best purchase I made for rough conditions out on the open water. I secure it when the forecast is extremely rough but ultimately, this is an excellent product & would recommend to anyone who likes thier own coffee rather than the cheap crew coffee out in the public area or great for making 7 cups of tea for my big coffee cup (also sold at Walmart).

I'm pleased with the coffee maker. It keeps coffee warm. Works fine. I've only had it a couple of weeks though so I can't say anything about its durability. So far it has worked fine.

I now have two of these items, one for each floor level in my townhouse. Just wish they sold the coffee pitcher itself for a reasonable price, because breaking one is why I had to buy a whole coffee maker. Makes excellent coffee.

We want to make 4 cups and can't see using a 12 cup pot. Looked for a black coffee maker, the white ones stain quickly. Don't want another clock to set, I unplug it when I'm done. I have been happy with many B&D products, they keep on working.

I'm not quite sure why this coffee maker got bad reviews. Must be bad luck. I really like this coffee maker! I've had a couple of Keurig machines and found them to be an expensive and wasteful way of making coffee. This B&D machine is very simple to use and easy to clean. I need to use two K-cups to make the amount of coffee drink. It's much easier to make my servings with this coffee maker. Love the hot plate that keeps the coffee hot until I get to it. My wife and I love it.

This coffee maker was to replace another coffee maker my husband used. The one thing I miss with this maker is the automatic pause feature my other maker had. It does make good coffee and for the price you'd be hard pressed to find another one that's better.

I just wanted a coffeemaker that makes coffee in small amounts because I am the only one in my house that drinks coffee. This one suits me fine. There is no clock or timer etc. There is only one thing I don't like and that is that I think the coffee should be just a little bit hotter.

I purchased this coffeemaker on 11/25/2013 to replace my other B & D coffeemaker which was old. I loved my other one because this particular coffeemaker really does keep the coffee hot. Well, here we are not even one month into the new purchase & the covering on the "Non Stick Keep Hot Carafe Plate" is coming off (see pic). I wipe it down everyday after use when coffeemaker has cooled with a clean wet cloth that has no detergents on it & the coffeemaker sits in a spot on the counter where nothing is near it. Also I am a senior person living alone so no children to blame for this 'manufacturing defect'. If I had the box I would return it to Walmart but since I don't & it is under warranty (?) I sent an email to B & D and I will see what happens next. I still love the coffeemaker just disappointed in the manufacturing process.
