This is the second purchase of a black %26 decker food processor, after the previous one lasted 15 years with very consistent use. I make hummus and mayonnaise regularly, mix chicken salad, and combine ingredients for dips like guacamole and artichoke, This one has a small countertop footprint, which is required for my small kitchen. I'm yet unable to rate blades on this model because I haven't had it long enough. The earlier model blades remained sharp until I finally wore it out. For the price, this is unbeatable!
bought this to shred crab legs and cream cheese together. worked like a charm. would def recommend this product. clean up was a breeze too-top rack dishwasher safe
My boyfriend and I got this for shredding cheese. He can shred blocks with no issue, but I also struggle when I do it. It's a me thing for sure, and not the product lol. The size is great for us. Cleaning it is also a breeze!
Mine came without a lid so I could t use it and I returned it %26 ordered another , but I used my friend's a few days prior %26 really liked it which is why I ordered this. It's good because while you can't use it at all without a lid, if the lid isn't fully locked into place it won't run…which guarantees no crazy messes on accident spraying all over the kitchen like what happens on occasion with a blender. Makes it quick n easy to do flavored cream cheese spread, salsa, hummus… fresh is best!! Good appliance for the price. Easy to clean up.
Not the best or the worst I've used. The processor worked but feels cheaply made and the blade set up did not feel sturdy. I primarily purchased it for shredding cabbage. Unfortunately it pulverized it into tiny tiny pieces like you find in store bought coleslaw. No matter which side of the blade I used the cabbage turned out the same. That given, it does a quick job of pulverizing the cabbage. Not sure how it would handle other vegetables. It is easy to clean, has very sharp blades and has great suction on the bottom to hold it in place during use.
I bought this food processor for my pie crust and it will barely cut the butter with the flower. Works okay chopping cookies up and kind of thicker chop though, not a fine crumb.
It's a SCAM! Ask the AI. I got it because it said 850W, but on the package it said 850W** and elsewhere it turned out, it's really only 450W. That really matters for some things.
I was very excited to get such a great deal on a Black and Decker product. That excitement was short lived because I never got to use it. the main component to attach the processor component was missing. Of course by the time I could return to the store they were no longer available at that price. one of the disadvantages of online ordering is that they often are not available in store.
I got it 7 months ago and used it only 4 times. Now it stopped working all by sudden! It makes sound but the core part doesn't move! I can't believe such low quality. I write it here so at least they replace it for me. If so, I'll let you know. For now I'm just too upset with this experience!
I ordered one and it was broke on the handle that the bowl wouldn't lock into the base. So returned it ordered another one. Only to get another one broke the same way. As if they sent me the same one. 👎 Black and Decker
