Once seasoned, this takes no time to get used to and start making great meals. Assembly took a little time but was straightforward. I recommended seasoning it on the first day and don't plan to cook on it on the same day you purchase. Make sure it is seasoned well first otherwise your food will stick.
Set up was very easy. The grill is very heavy though so you will need help lifting it. It comes pre seasoned, which I totally missed, so I seasoned it. Ha! I haven't cooked on it yet, so I can't rate that. I LOVE the stand for the propane tank and how the knobs feel on the handles (they're textured rubber). Great product so far!
The product package was complete and wasn't missing any parts. However, one bolt was tightened so much on the pre built stand that I had to cut through it in order to remove. Other than that, the assembly was easy. I have seasoned it and started using. So far so good.
this has been a second leg of my bbq journey. got this to make large meals, fast and easy, and not use my bbq. this thing is a tank and the heat is distributed evenly! i've seen the other griddles and none have the build quality as blackstone. thank you!
I have wanted a Blackstone for a while and finally got one. Grill looks beautiful and very sturdy. The quality seems really good. I hired someone to put it together and it took him an hour and maybe 15 mins doing it alone. The weather has been rainy so haven't used it yet but I can't wait.
I have a tiny kitchen and the blackstone really makes it easy to cook for a large group but also convenient enough to cook for just me and my partner. We had our first full breakfast cooked perfectly this morning. The assembly was fairly simple but some of the directions or pictures could be more clear or enlarged. Otherwise 2 less than mechanically inclined people took less than 3 hours.
After using a grill with a griddle insert for the last two years, I swapped it for a standalone 36 inch Blackstone griddle. Cleaning is also much easier. We will never go back to a regular grill. The griddle is more versatile for a variety of recipes.
Although I am still in the process of seasoning, the grill, it appears to be reasonably sturdy, although there was some difficulty in assembling as a couple of the screws stripped out and would not go together properly. I like the single griddle style cook top. But, it seems a little counterintuitive that there is an explicit warning to not close the lid wallet is cooking. A little google research revealed that if one closes the lid wall the griddle is on it is entirely possible The lid will melt. For the price, I think this is something that should be addressed. Perhaps add a manual open, shut vent in the lid to releas Heat.
The frame was bent where the left rear griddle pin locks into place. However, the way the griddle is engineered to lock into place made this a non-issue. Very easy to assemble. It's raining so the we chose not to oil the griddle until the weather clears up. Looking forward to using it.
