We bought this on a budget and were worried that the legs would be unsteady. They are made sturdy. We took this camping 3 states away and is compact for traveling. It came with the conversion kit for a larger propane tank too. Made 8 burgers and onions at the same time.
I have been wanting this Blackstone griddle grill for a couple years and I finally got it and I can't be happier. I have made breakfast. I've done my pancakes eggs. I griddle some bacon and it came out amazing. I also did dinner on it and had a couple hamburgers they were extremely yummy. Cleaning was easy. I've had no issues with corrosion and I will definitely buy this again.
For $185 this Blackstone 22 inch grill with stand is perfect. I was hesitant when I read the reviews about the legs on the stand being unstable on this site and others especially when that was not the consensus of others, so I made the investment anyway. Glad I did. The assembly was a breeze, no major assembly needed, just a Phillips to put the handle on the lid. I then realized that the reviews about the legs on the stand being unstable was likely because when they extended the legs, they likely extended the legs all the way out then tried securing the screw in the HOLE at the end of the leg INSTEAD of at the end of the notches because I did the exact same thing. I then read the directions for the stand and when I followed the directions and secured the screws on the last notch instead of thru the hole, the legs were very stable and secured. Then I screwed in the handle to the lid and that was it. It's very sturdy!! This is a great option for the budget friendly who wants a Blackstone grill but don't want to invest hundreds of dollars or if you want options of transporting to the park, camping or a road trip. It's not extremely heavy. The 22in is a great option for a single person or up to a family of 6 in my opinion. It takes the smaller propane tanks thanks to it's versatility and can shop around for inexpensive accessories and covers. Definitely invest in a silicone cover to keep rust away between uses.
I LOVE this little 22” blackstone! It is so easy to move around our patio so we can use it even when it is raining. It is a very sturdy stand as well so I never have to worry about it tipping over. I was waiting to write the review until I used it quite a few times so I could take a picture of how well it cleans up and it still looks brand new. Easiest clean up ever. Super lightweight so I don't have to ask my husband to haul it around the patio. Even my 11 year old can move it. As far as how the food tastes, I am a grill Girl through and through but I've loved making different meals on the stone. Just made these chopped beef sliders tonight and they were perfect. Pancakes, burgers, hot dogs… All perfection.
This grill is amazing. It is a bit larger than I pictured. It's also a bit heavier than I imagined. It's also far sturdier than I thought it would be. So, it's all a nice surprise, except for the fact that using this 22 inch grill for camping, it isn't just pop up and you're all ready. It's heavy, bulky and not the easiest to get all together. But, once it's all in place, it is the best grill you could ask for. I'm going to say older folks, it may be a bit much, just being honest as I'm getting there in age...and it's hefty to get the griddle on the gas part for me. I think I will love it as long as I can maneuver. ;-)
Took this griddle with us for our yearly camping trip. (around 30 people) previously we have used camping stoves. But this griddle was the perfect size to pack on the way up and made cooking for the crowd soooo much easier. we literally threw away our camping frying pans after using this. could not recommend higher for group camping. It's home is on the back porch and about to make smash burgers for lunch. I removed the side table, drip cup, and handle for easier packing and store them in the lid. will require a screwdriver. Only thing I can see being an issue is the lid. we were cooking down 2 and 3 pounds of bacon at a time and the lid, depending on the direction of the wind, can accumulate grease and begin to drip from the bottom of the lid missing the drip cup. again we were slinging out some food but just be cautious, of remove the lid when doing something of that nature
Top notch blackstone quality in a compact version. i was debating on either this or the suitcase style ones but I'm not a fan of the coating it has. Rolled steel is a bit heavier but totally worth the hassle. Having had the full size one for years snd now getting this one fit camping, game changer. who says you need to eat boring food while camping.
Beautiful griddle not sure it works. The Bulk Tank Adapter Hose is faulty. It leaks propane. It is not the propane tank itself because just unhooked from a Blackstone Tailgater. A new replacement Bulk Tank Adapter Hose is needed. Can you please send me one Thank you!!!
It's a great size and I'm looking forward to using it. BUT, the front corner of the lid is extremely scraped up - as if it was dropped. I've already assembled and don't want to take it apart for an exchange. Unfortunately, Walmart doesn't offer any sort of discount for cosmetic damage. Make sure to check your pieces before you start assembling.
Defective grill plate. It came warped so when the skillet is on the actual burners it wobbles very annoyingly. Not to mention unsafe if the grease comes forward during cooking. The stands and legs are fine and sturdy but the actual product above that was made defective.
