This is a great kit for any blackstone owner. The hose is very high quality and the orfices are very easy to change with the included tool. The only thing you need thats not included is pipe sealant. Other than that this kit has everything.
Easy installation, works perfect, and fast shipping!
OMG ... everyone at work has been talking about the griddle ... I was looking for a natural gas version but it did not exist 2 years ago. I sent an e-mail into support asking BlackStone if they had plans to make a NG version. Now they do - Thanks ... you just made another sale 36" SS.
Super easy to do and the kit contains everything you need (except a few common hand tools)... and it only took me 15 or 20 minutes to do. Well worth it not to have to swap out LP gas bottles. I kept all the LP parts and could easily switch back if I need to make the device portable again.
I have had my Blackstone 36" for about 8 months now. I also have a natural gas Weber grill. I have used natural gas for 20 years. I almost delayed getting the Blackstone because of the propane hookup only. I was very excited to see the conversion kit as I contemplated a do-it-yourself option. And one day.. saw it online, ordered it, got it in a few days, installed in 20 minutes to my existing gas hookup and griddled that night! It is awesome. I heard people saying natural gas conversions lose BTUs. I have to disagree. Mine cooks a bit hotter. The flames are the hotter blue flames instead of the orange-yellow with propane. It also heats up all the way to the corners now (didn't as much with propane). No more playing the propane tank game again!
I replaced an old natural gas grill with a Blackstone . Ordered the Natural gas conversion kit to make it a direct replacement. The kit came with everything needed. Easy to install, only took me about 10 minutes. Great products! Instructions say to start the new orifices by hand, probably because the depth of the provided wrench is deep and the orifice falls all the way in without revealing any threads. It was difficult for me to get my fat little fingers in there to start the orifices by hand. TIP: I cut off a piece of pencil eraser and put it into the wrench which allowed threads to reveal, and was able to start them easily with the wrench.
I had been searching for a way to make the conversion so I was thrilled when the manufacturer offered the kit. It's a simple swap if you are even remotely handy and it takes only a few minutes. I recommend help with moving the grill surface but all together it's a breeze.
I have the 36inch griddle and just did this conversion. It went very smooth and easy. Whole project time was about 20 minutes. I look forward saving those trips to the gas station for propane. You will need to install a 1/2 inch gas shut off valve with a 1/2 inch to 3/8 reducer and a 3/8 close nipple onto the house.
I ordered this kit for the Range Top Combo, a 55000 btu grill. The conversion was easy and works well. My wish is that Blackstone would offer a 1/2" hose option as I feel that 3/8" may be a bit small for this many burners. My Weber summit has about the same rating and it came with 1/2". I swapped the line out to test and noticed a difference. Make no mistake, it works great as is. I just want bigger better stronger longer...!.
Everything you need to make the convergence to Natural Gas from Propane. If you have large hands like I do, you will not be able to thread the new orficies by hand. I had to use a pair of needle nose pliers to get these started. After you get them seated and started then you can use the 7mm wrench to lightly tighten them up. They only tell you in the instructions to start the orficies by hand. Also I have the 28" griddle with the burners on the side. These should be changed as well and will take more ability to unscrew each of the burners to get to the orficies. As usual the screws are in hard to get to areas so be patient and figured your best way to do this. After this and you have everything attached the Natural Gas conversion should work like a charm and no need to wonder if you will run low on propane or did you fill your back up tank again.
