Blue Underground - The Final Countdown [DIGITAL VIDEO DISC]

This is an excellent Sci-Fi picture that I haven't seen on television in years. I would highly recomment it to adults (due to language).

A film about time travel on a massive scale. It's a regular chicken and egg conundrum. How would you react upon waking up and it's 1911 and you're at the first Indy 500. You happen to be sitting in a modern race car while the rest of the field is in 1911 roadsters? How about if you and your crew of a nuclear powered aircraft carrier awakening in the waters near Pearl Harbor on December 6th 1941? What would you do as commander of that powerful vessel? Find out how the all star crew of this USS Nimitz navigate these troubled waters. This is a good history lesson as well as an entertaining tale. Originally released in the 1980's the final countdown stands up well to the test of time.

Quick and easy

Wow. I had not seen this in years. It is truly remarkable for its day. Some footage much better than Top Gun, and certainly at lot less Hollywood. The aircraft carrier experience in the movie is true to life, with minor inconsistencies which were not show stoppers. I thought the quality of the DVD was good on our high def TV. A must have for naval aircraft enthusiasts.

this is a very interesting concept of a war film I was very entertained with this movie. this is 1 of my favorites.

Great food for thought.
