Bob's organic dark rye flour is perfect for bread machine, pumpernickel bread. Walmart in Gainesville was carrying the flour but was sold out so I ordered on Walmart's site and was delivered within a couple of days, perfect, quick service, packaged perfectly. I am well pleased with Walmart

I love rye bread and got tired of finding only light rye. I trust Red Mill brand and decided to give this flour a try. It makes a delicious loaf. I added some gluten to my recipe and it makes a hearty loaf with a good crumb. I have a no-kneed recipe baked in a Dutch oven. The resulting bread is wonderful and reminds me of the bread in Germany.

I use this for making pumpernickel bread. So I only use a small amount for each loaf. I have been using this brand for several years and its always fine. I wish Walmart sold rye flour in 5 lb bags like I used to buy, but at least I can still get the whole wheat and bread flour in 5 lb bags.

We add caraway seeds, both whole and ground, to add to the flavor. To be honest, it is even better than what we used to buy in the store. Easy to make, this rye flour with some Bob's Red Mill Vital Wheat Gluten Flour, yeast, and the caraway seeds helps you bake a loaf of rye any rye bread lover would cherish. Great products all the way around, Bob's Red Mill makes all your breads great, but I love the rye so much, we are baking rye bread and bagels almost exclusively now.
