I bake frequently so this bottle is a better value than individual packets. I prefer active dry yeast to the rapid rise yeast because I like the yeast to bloom a bit before I add it to a dough. The lower liquid temperature that this yeast requires makes that possible.
Store-bought bread these days is a disappointment. It tastes like some strange combination of school paste and paper, probably the result of cost-cutting and chasing profits. I had almost forgotten what real bread was supposed to taste like. Then my wife started making homemade bread with Fleischmann's Active Dry Yeast, and suddenly I was transported back to my childhood. That warm, yeasty aroma filling the kitchen. The golden crust. The soft, flavorful crumb that actually tastes like something. This is what bread is supposed to be. The yeast activates reliably every time, gives a great rise, and produces loaves with that authentic, old-fashioned flavor that commercial bakeries seem to have abandoned. If you're tired of the flavorless stuff on grocery store shelves and want to remember what real bread tastes like, get yourself some Fleischmann's and start baking. Your taste buds will thank you.
i do a lot of baking, homemade Bread 🍞 also yes im and entrepreneur, I also use this yeast to make alcohol. I'll buy homemade apple's cider or juices, and I'll convert them to alcohol by adding one cup of sugar and 1 tsp of yeast and let it set for 10 days and what you have is a very cheap quality, tasty beverage with approximately 11% alcohol believe it. Or not, but you have to be patient. You just can't go out to a state store and buy it and take it home. And drink it, you have to add 1 cup of sugar. 1 tsp of yeast and let it set someplace warm for 10 days. It's simple to use, and it works great for this purpose. And also works great for baking. So but with this type of yeast, you must be patient. You cannot expect results quickly
I’ve been baking bread for about 6 months and this is perfect for me! My knowledge is limited to this product but I can’t complain. 110 degree water with a tbls of sugar and 2 tsp of yeast works perfectly.
a quality product from a very old brand. I've never had it fail me. I do keep it in the freezer for maximum freshness. A jar can last me 2 years with no problems
If you bake bread regularly, this is the one to keep on hand. The jar size is perfect. When I get in a bread-baking mood, I make a lot, and those little packets just don’t cut it. This saves time, money, and a lot of hassle. More importantly, it’s incredibly consistent. I’ve tried other yeasts that felt a bit hit-or-miss, but this one rises beautifully every time. Nice, reliable lift and great results with big, fluffy loaves. When you’re putting in the effort to bake from scratch, you want something you can count on, and this delivers.
I use this Fleischmann's Active Dry Yeast for baking and have never gotten a dead jar or packet from Fleischmann's . It is great with GV APF and makes proofing my dough super fast and easy. The ease of use is pretty great because it's almost always the same standard of 2 teaspoons yeast. It stores nicely and is very shelf stable.
This really made a difference! Cut down on rise time for bread once I started using this yeast. For some breads I prefer to activate yeast instead of adding to dry ingredients and this never fails. Have it in the fridge and it has been perfect every time.
I needed this type of yeast for a recipe that I am working on and trying to get boxes of yeast shipped is murder. Prices are outrageous IF you can get it shipped, so I had to go with the jar. Not a problem, as long as it is the type of yeast that I need and the price is reasonable.
The top was popped The yeast would not rise .it did not smell right it was stale Not sure on how to get a refund but it was bad and popped Told wife we will not purchase stuff like this unless we go there in person. Hopefully a mistake and someone from Walmart will replace. But I’m not holding out. Dissatisfied
