This was ordered in quantity because it is used on average "Daily" to make fresh bread. I have yet to be disappointed in it, and family looks forward to their share when I take it to them during visits. I think this is the best for the type of bread and rolls I make, and even though I proof it before use out of habit, it has not failed me yet. I honestly have used other styles of yeast such as "Quick Rise" but I have patience in the waiting for the 1st and 2nd rise. The bread only takes 15 minutes to bake, but around 1 hour total for the proofing before it is cut or shaped, and then 30 minutes in the pan. When it bakes it gets larger still. The bread usually comes out great unless I forget something, but this yeast ensures the dough is airy and light when finished. You can't go wrong.
We are European bakers. From bread to pastries, we make it all. I've tried many brands domestic and imports. FLEISCHMAN is the best!
I've never had a problem with the yeast, it has risen every time I've used it.
works wonderful for jalapeno cheddar sour dough bread
I bake frequently so this bottle is a better value than individual packets. I prefer active dry yeast to the rapid rise yeast because I like the yeast to bloom a bit before I add it to a dough. The lower liquid temperature that this yeast requires makes that possible.
Store-bought bread these days is a disappointment. It tastes like some strange combination of school paste and paper, probably the result of cost-cutting and chasing profits. I had almost forgotten what real bread was supposed to taste like. Then my wife started making homemade bread with Fleischmann's Active Dry Yeast, and suddenly I was transported back to my childhood. That warm, yeasty aroma filling the kitchen. The golden crust. The soft, flavorful crumb that actually tastes like something. This is what bread is supposed to be. The yeast activates reliably every time, gives a great rise, and produces loaves with that authentic, old-fashioned flavor that commercial bakeries seem to have abandoned. If you're tired of the flavorless stuff on grocery store shelves and want to remember what real bread tastes like, get yourself some Fleischmann's and start baking. Your taste buds will thank you.
Excellent
i do a lot of baking, homemade Bread 🍞 also yes im and entrepreneur, I also use this yeast to make alcohol. I'll buy homemade apple's cider or juices, and I'll convert them to alcohol by adding one cup of sugar and 1 tsp of yeast and let it set for 10 days and what you have is a very cheap quality, tasty beverage with approximately 11% alcohol believe it. Or not, but you have to be patient. You just can't go out to a state store and buy it and take it home. And drink it, you have to add 1 cup of sugar. 1 tsp of yeast and let it set someplace warm for 10 days. It's simple to use, and it works great for this purpose. And also works great for baking. So but with this type of yeast, you must be patient. You cannot expect results quickly
This product was not safely sealed and arrived with many dents. Not sure if someone else attempted to open it or if it happened during production. When I went to open it after it arrived, it did not pop up like it suggests it should on the lid.
This was already expired. It is a living thing and so is no good.
